Oxbow prime hay is sourced and sorted to meet the specific characteristics of the targeted texture (soft and lush/hearty and crunchy) rather than cutting. However, typically speaking, animals with a preference for first-cutting hay will gravitate toward Oxbow's hearty and crunchy variety while animals with a preference for second-cutting hay are more likely to prefer Oxbow's soft and lush variety.

Disappointed

Sorry, Oxbow, but you missed the mark on this one. It is NOT soft and lush by any means. It is course and like 1st cut hay. Disappointed in the quality, description, and cost for this.

Accurate to the Name

The Timothy hay was very soft and choice pieces for my picky chinchilla. The box is especially enjoyed by all - guinea pig and rabbit approved!

My lop rabbit loved this hay!

My bunny is typically a picky hay eater and she definitely approved of Prime cut lush hay! The hay seems really fresh. I like the way it’s packaged in the box. It comes in! I will definitely be purchasing this again for my spoiled bunny!
