What does it mean by blend is it paper and something else?

The blend is a mixture between the natural which is unbleached paper and the white bedding which is lightened with a non-chlorine bleach.
Is this litter compostable?

Though Oxbow have completed composting and biodegradability trials on their Eco-Straw litter, and can verify that bedding to be biodegradable, similar trials for their Pure Comfort bedding are not complete. Their Pure Comfort bedding contains absolutely no chemicals or deodorizers. It is made from 100% pure, vegetable-based, never-printed paper, resulting in a clean, safe, and ultra-soft bedding material. Because Oxbow cannot confirm Pure Comfort to be 100% biodegradable, it is recommended to dispose of the bedding in the trash.
Is this bedding scented?

Good Quality & Safe

We love to blend this with a small pet litter for our rabbit litter boxes. It’s soft and the material is safe for animals (not like pine).

Great product.

This is a great product, my daughter has been using it for almost two years now for her pet rat, “Tulip”. Is super easy to clean up and clumps together nicely/absorbs urine very well.

Is the Quantity Really Accurate ???

The good news is the product is nice and clean with no odor, so our bunnies like it. BUT....mathematically something is really strange....I know the product is advertised as being sold by volume, but a 72L size of the Oxbow weighed 5 lbs, 2 oz...but a "smaller" 60L size of Care Fresh weighed in at nearly 9 lbs.!!! Both are similar paper dry bedding, so something on the Oxbow math doesn't compute to me.

Not a good deal

I thought this was the same stuff that comes in the smaller package but it's not. It's not packed as tight, it's fluffier and it will not wind up being the bargain I thought it would be.

Smells really bad

I thought this would be fine on it’s own for my rat cage but no, it smells bad really fast. You need to mix or layer it with some other bedding like aspen or hemp in order for it to stay fresh.

Not very odor controlling or absorbent

The bedding was soft but it didn't control the odor and it wasn't very absorbent. Definently won't but again.

Soft! Unfortunately, didn’t do what I had hoped

While this bedding is very soft! I’ve had to change my bunnies litter more often than I care to share. Considering his litter box is 18x18 I shouldn’t have to change 2x a week! This stuff is ridiculously expensive and you definitely don’t get the benefit from it. One bag lasted me 1.5 weeks MAYBE vs another competitor whose bag lasted me over 2 months and better absorbed. Will not buy again unless I’m in a pinch.

Soils and stays wet

I have been looking tirelessly for comfortable bedding for my daughter’s two guinea pigs and while I really liked the first day I used oxbow pure comfort it quickly became wet and soiled and I had to change the bedding more often than I was hoping. So for the price and how quickly I used it it wasn’t worth it. I don’t recommend if you have 2 or more guinea pigs as it will stay wet and become smelly quickly.
