Feeding Instructions

<1/2 lb.	1/4 teaspoon
1/2 lb. - 1 lb.	1/2 teaspoon
1 lb. - 5 lbs.	1 teaspoon
5 lbs. – 20 lbs.	2 teaspoon
20 lb. +	3 teaspoon

Newborns: 1/4 to 1/2 gram at birth; 1/2 gram on day 3, 5 and 7 and at weaning. Hand Fed Orphans: increase to 1/2 to 1 gram on days 7, 14 and introduction to solid food. Post Weaning and Older: 1 gram up to 10 lbs. body weight. One additional gram for each 10 lbs. body weight up to 50 lbs. Use gel 2 times, 3 days apart. Place in mouth or mix with food.

Diarrhea from Giardia

A couple of our dogs developed watery diarrhea. It was Giardia! We did 2 courses of Panacur for 5 days and it was successfully treated except their poop never went completely back to normal…Not diarrhea by no means but very soft stool. The vet had given us Forta Flor probiotics to give them but 1) they hated it and 2) it made their poop worse. I had a few breeders say that give Benabac gel to all their puppies after deworming and thought let’s give it a try! Gave the exact dosage by weight as recommended every other day for a week. They didn’t mind the taste and took it extremely well! The next day their stool consistency had really improved!! By the end of the week it was better than it was before the Giardia diagnosis. I will keep a few syringes on hand from now on!!

A great benefit to your fur baby!

I first used Bene-Bac thirty years ago! (yes! They've been making it that long!) when I bought this show cat from a breeder in Washington. When I got her, she had diarrhea that came out like water! I took her to 3 vets, spent money and the poor baby still had the runs. Then I recalled the breeder telling me that she had put her on antibiotics at one point and a light went off in my mind. After using Bene-Bac (as directed) her diarrhea finally stopped and the fur baby was SO much happier! and so was I !! Keep this in mind for this issue....but using non-fat plain yogurt during antibiotic treatment usually works too!

Not drastic results

I used this for my German Shepherd after she delivered her pups because diarrhea is a for sure thing. Didn’t help really and my dog isn’t a huge fan of the taste.
