It could be better
I have three cats, one whom is very avid about going outside. I have tried a lot of different harnesses and this is my favorite. That said I wish it had better adjusting ability. The loop that goes around the neck has way too much slack and would benefit from a way to get a snugger fit. Also with my smallest cat where the neck loop does fit the middle strap is too tight even at its best. I measured each cat so that I would buy the right sizes for them, and with how they fit each I can't swap them. I do keep them in their harnesses full time as they are useful for other reasons. That is why I chose this harness as it has a great minimal design with maximum safety, just wish it fit better.
Cat escaped harness
I put this harness on my cat according to the instructions, and he seemed comfy in it at first. While we were outside, he got spooked and managed to wriggle out of the harness and run away. Luckily we were able to catch him, but it was incredibly scary. If your cat might be skittish at all, do NOT get this harness. I’ll be purchasing something else for my boys in the future.
Indoor cats
My 2 cats have never been outdoors. They have a catio but decided to get them harnesses, too. So far they seem to like going outside although not happy about the leash. Previous cats have always gone outside, but where we live now is not safe for them. The harness and leash is the best we can do for now.
Difficult to put on a very easy cat
We already have a leash and I thought I was buying a similar one. This is very difficult to apply because you not only have to put it over their head, you have to then wrap it around both legs. These are cats! Are you kidding me! My Siamese has years of experience on a leash and is so easy to work with but I had trouble getting this on him. I won't even try to get it on the cat I bought it for! I recommend getting a simple leash that clips around the neck and chest. Very disappointed in this.
Well made but cat jumped out of it
I read the the directions carefully, and got it pretty snug, but our cat still got out of it. Not sure if has to be super tight, but that would seem very uncomfortable.
Leash is great; harness not ideal
I love that this leash has some stretch to it, so that if my cat lunges after a squirrel or something, he doesn't get yanked by the leash. However, I find the harness less than ideal. It doesn't seem possible to adjust the circumference of the part that goes around the cat's head without also adjusting the length of the strap that goes under his chest. It would be best if each of the three components could be independently adjusted: The loop that goes around the neck, the loop that goes around the torso, and the strap that links the loops under the chest. I will probably buy a separate harness that serves that purpose, and attach it to the leash (which is great).
So far so good!
This harness is easy to put on. Stubbs has been wearing it around the house for practice. He didn't freak out, but moves around a little slower and walks kind of funny. It isn't uncomfortable, but he's a cat so it's just a little weird for him. I tried to put him outside with the leash, but he wasn't really into it. That will come later. I'm not planning to walk him, just give him the opportunity to sit outside with us and give us some flexibility when travelling. He's about 12 pounds and the Medium fits well
So cute, but difficult to fit Kittens securely -
These harnesses are so cute, the colors are great, but they are difficult to fit my two kittens securely, so I can take them out and see the world! :) I have tried and tried to fit them snuggly, but to no avail. They will roll around and around until the harness just comes off, and I my heart would just break if one or both got away (they're fast as lightening, believe me!!). But, I haven't given up yet, I am still trying to get them fitted appropriately and securely in this harness. The harness, itself, it just so cute!
Cat harness and leash
The cat harness and leash were easy to use and worked well, but I didn't realize just how tightly I need to make the section that goes around my cats head, because he got away. It's okay, he's an outdoor cat, but he got out of it and I thought it was tight around his neck. He has more fat and fur around his neck than I realized.
Awkward to put on
This isn't easy to put on mainly because of the difficulty in tightening and loosening straps. The cord could have been a foot longer. It got wrapped around a bush and cat went into distress. I don't feel very secure in my cats inability to get out of this harness. It doesn't break free, which could be very bad.
