How do I know what size to order?

It's not recommended to alter this harness in any way. The D-ring is meant to be in the front. The martingale loop at the chest prevents twisting and The chest strap rests across your dog's chest instead of putting pressure on the delicate throat, so there's no choking or gagging.

Great front-clip harness

I always walk my German Shepherds with these harnesses. It helps keep them at my side without pulling at their necks and allows for a more comfortable walk for both

I always walk my German Shepherds with these harnesses. It helps keep them at my side without pulling at their necks and allows for a more comfortable walk for both me and the dogs. I was able to train them better in loose leash walking because this harness makes it easier to correct them when they pull. My only problem is that although the Large seems to be the best size for my male German Shepherd, the front straps where the leash attaches are slightly loose on him. I can’t leave him unattended with the harness on after disconnecting the leash even for a few minutes because he is somehow able to reach it to chew on it. Unfortunately he has destroyed 2 harnesses this way and I am on my third and being very careful with it.

At first this product was difficult to put on my dog and the instructions that it came with didn't help. Once I figured out how to put it on correctly, it was still a cumbersome process and it was not secure on my dog. I did not feel safe with the leash attached to this only. By the end of our second walk I had reverted back to my dogs collar. It wasn't worth the fight to try to keep it on correctly.

Tried hundreds of dollars on devices to get my pup to stop pulling when walking. From prong collars to electronic devices nothing worked. I thought, well, what a few more dollars, let me give this simpler collar a try. Glad I did, so far so good. The pulling has been cut in half! Hopefully, it will continue & get even better with this Easy Walk Harness.

My girls (both Golden Retrievers) were big time pullers on walks and it got frustrating to take them out. I've had them in other harnesses and they didn't really help at all. In a last-ditch effort, I bought the Petsafe Easy WAlk Harness for each of them (in fashionable colors I might add) and I can't believe the difference. Walks are easy and comfortable now. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Looks good, but not so much...

We have a year old mixed breed that is shaped a lot like the pup in the photo for this item. He pulls, and we thought this would be a good first step towards curtailing that behavior. We put this on him, adjusted it, and before we could even get his leash and try it out, he chewed it off. The problem with this harness is the cross strap is so far down his chest that he can easily get his lower jaw around it and chew it. It didn't even make it 5 minutes! Oh well, it was worth a try, but very disappointed as we thought if it worked, we could go back to his regular collar.

Little tricky to get adjusted right

My dog is short but long and it turns out a front clip harness doesn’t work well for a short dog because they’ll step over the if you’re trying for loose leash

It also seems like they might not work great for a long dog. The harness ended up being too small but I think a large would’ve been too big.

Helps with the pulling

I love this harness but heads up to those purchasing it. I measured my dog and he is an in between size according to the sizing chart so I ordered the medium.

I love this harness but heads up to those purchasing it. I measured my dog and he is an in between size according to the sizing chart so I ordered the medium. When I received it I had to adjust it all the way up to the tightest fit and it was still a bit loose. I ordered the next smallest size, the small/medium and it is a perfect fit. When in doubt about the size, I’d recommend going with the smaller of the two. You will probably have a better fit. Other than that it is a wonderful product!
