    Two out of three?

    By on

I have three cats. I like to offer a variety of flavors and textures so I buy a lot of food. Sometimes, after a period of time, two or more of the kitties wlll decide they don't ever want to see something again and they walk away. Then I need to find a replacement. That's what this new selection is all about. It's just a new flavor. They don't have any sensitivities I am aware of. Two kitties will dive right in. The third won't touch it. They also get dry food, but its frustrating when something is outright refused, especially since I am buying a case at a time. I do wish that your site showed more of the can label. I wasn't sure what to expect regarding the food's texture and was a bit disappointed I have three cats. I like to offer a variety of flavors and textures so I buy a lot of food. It's a winner!

    By on

Our 15 year old cat has always been a picky eater. She also has some skin allergies and a delicate tummy. She devoured the Pro Plan duck. Not only did she devour the first can, but all week now she has been eating the whole cans with gusto. She usually drinks any juice from canned food and leaves the rest. Not with the duck. She cleans the dish. It makes us so happy to have her enjoying her food so much. It's too early to see if her skin allergies improve, but she has not had any stomach issues with the duck.

It works! Long review, lots to say!

I have always fed my two cats a grain-free, high protein, low carb diet of FF Classic, Weruva, and Tiki Cat. I feed 75% wet with only 1 T of dry (I now use Natural Balance High Protein LID, but I was feeding Dr. Elseys Clean Protein) mixed in at each meal. It took me years to transition them from the dry only diet their previous family fed them. I've also been slowly decreasing the amount of fish in their diets. One cat, however, has been itchy during the past year. I've taken him to 2 vets who proposed expensive skin allergy tests and suggested kitty Claritin for possible environmental allergies. I switched their flea medication, tried lysine supplements, tried Rescue Remedy, tried fish oil I have always fed my two cats a grain-free, high protein, low carb diet of FF Classic, Weruva, and Tiki Cat. One cat, however, has been itchy during the past year. I've taken him to 2 vets who proposed expensive skin allergy tests and suggested kitty Claritin for possible environmental allergies. I switched their flea medication, tried lysine supplements, tried Rescue Remedy, tried fish oil supplements, started washing their bedding more often and with no detergent/softener, and eliminated any food with peas or eggs in an attempt to alleviate his itching. Still he itched! Finally I realized it might be the increase in chicken. I've been feeding lots of Tiki Cat Puka Lua and Weruva Fowl Ball. So I bought this food and the other Arctic Char flavor pate at a local store and have been using both exclusively with the itchy cat. After 2 days, the itching was reduced by 75%. Where he overgroomed on his lower back, the fur started coming back! I wish the matching dry food didn't have corn, soy, and chicken. I know some cats have seafood allergies. This duck food has fish in it, but no chicken. I will stick with the Natural Balance LID High Protein Salmon for a dry food for the itchy boy. It's one of the only LID grain-free ones that doesn't have chicken! I hope this helps other people and cats. It took a lot of work and money to figure this out! I hope he continues to be itch-free! … more

    Better than prescription food

    By on

One of my cats has skin allergies and sometime GI issues. I've bought expensive prescription canned food for her in the past which she detests. She actually likes this food and she is tolerating it well. My other cat will eat it but it's not her favorite. Overall this is a nice choice to have.

    no more blockage

    By on

my advanced age tom after being neutered developed an insatiable appetite, resulting in constipation leading to his near demise. A diet with this and weight mgt. pro plan has him back to normal and happy. I still segregate his feeding from the 6 others.

    Cats give it a 10/10

    By on

My three cats of various ages absolutely annihilated this food. It falls apart well, almost like a ground beef when it has been cooked - helpful for my poor toothless old man's digestive issues even more.

    My cat loves it

    By on

My 15 year old cat with digestive problems loves the flavor and wanders around meowing for it when I am fixing his food. He is able to keep it down and his coat is actually getting fuller.

    unfortunate choice

Unfortunately all 4 of my indoor cats and my feral cats did not like this food. I gave it away to a animal shelter. I hope they have better luck.

    Not for Us

    By on

I bought this food at the recommendation on my vet because my cat was having issues with vomiting up his food immediately after he ate every morning. Between the sick kitty and the healthy one, neither of them would eat this food. I'm sure some cats really love, but it just wasn't for us.

    They’re eating it!

    By on

Had to put them on a “novel” protein for allergies. It’s not the favorite they’ve ever had but they eat it pretty well.
