After a scary vet urgent-care ER visit, our little tuxedo cat Sherlock was diagnosed with urinary crystals and some kidney issues. So, we had to change the cat food and treats in our house. After consulting with our vet, even though only Sherlock has any kidney/urinary issues, we decided to have both cats eat the new specialized food, as they are both neutered males. Now, the tricky part was finding food that was going to be good for Sherlock that Noodles would also eat. Sherlock is not a very picky eater- as long as it isn't pate, he will eat it. On the other hand, Noodles is a VERY finicky eater. He also hates any pate, but is so fussy about his wet food. So, much to my surprise, Noodles LOVES this wet food! We are so happy to find something that will be both a healthy benefit to Sherlock, and a Noodles-approved yummy dinner option. :) We give the cats specialized dry food for their breakfast, and then wet food for their dinner. We are on a quest to find at least one other wet food that they both like, as we really want them to have some variety in their dinners. But for now, the Purina ProPlan urinary health chicken entree is amazing. We are so grateful that Purina makes the chicken flavor in a chunky/gravy meal instead of pate. And also so glad that Chewy sells the chicken flavor on its own, as the Purina ProPlan urinary care variety pack will not work for us since our boys HATE pate. Thank you Purina for making this!!

My cats generally will eat anything; they are not your typical finicky felines. I am finding that Purina's line of urinary wet food formulas is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes my cats will gobble them up, sometimes, like this recent subscription order, ALL four have gone on food strike! The first four cans they ate, but later, one cat vomited, the other one had it come out the other end. One case of the cans, the morsels and gravy were an odd shade of grey and watery. I tossed those.

The food itself is normally fine, but we probably won't order it again from Chewy. We bought two cases of the 5.5oz cans and they were thrown in a huge box with no filler. 33 of the 48 cans were SEVERELY dented. At 55$ a case this is unacceptable. The food is good for our boy prone to crystals, but competing stores carefully pack it if we order from them so likely will be our last order for this from Chewy.

Good to the last morsel!

Out of all the wet UT canned foods my boy loves this one! It’s literally Christmas morning every morning in his dish. He’s tried at least a dozen more flavors/brands

My cat who has a urinary tract problem will eat the meaty bits (after she licks all the gravy off :-). She hates pate food. It appeared that the box that contained the flat of food cans and a box of litter had been dropped. As a consequence, the cans were jumbled and dented. So far none have gone bad so I guess the dents aren't affecting the quality/safety of the food.

The cats did not like the flavor of the Urinary Tract wet food; however, they don't like the flavor of ANY of the urinary tract foods of any brand. I wish they would find a way to improve the taste as I have one cat with kidney stones who is on a prescription diet. It is impossible to get him to eat any of the Urinary Tract foods other than dry.

Our cat developed Urinary tract problems and had to be put on a special diet. We ordered a top speciality food that our veterinarian recommended and she would not touch it. I did independent research and found this one that was recommended for Urinary Health, checked with my vet and he approved, so we tried it and she likes it. We have had her on it for over a year now. Sophie prefers the gravy because she usually pretty much licks it off. I prefer the gravy because that makes it easy to add liquid medications and supplements to get her to eat.

Love it!

Cats are known to have urinary tract issues so making sure I feed them the best food possible is important to me. I mix this with the dry urinary tract defense food

Cats are known to have urinary tract issues so making sure I feed them the best food possible is important to me. I mix this with the dry urinary tract defense food (same brand) with enough water to turn it into a type of “stew” my cats all love it! Don’t foresee changing course anytime soon.

Good tasting and good for them

My Twinky developed crystals and almost died from a blockage in 2021. Now he has pancreatitis to deal with as well. He wants everything with gravy and he is SO PICKY

My Twinky developed crystals and almost died from a blockage in 2021. Now he has pancreatitis to deal with as well. He wants everything with gravy and he is SO PICKY these days. This is definitely one of his favorites. I love that it has gravy and is good for helping with his urinary tract. The other four cats eat this pretty consistently as well.
