Using a standard 8 oz/250 ml measuring cup which contains approximately 112 g of Pro Plan. Puppies start to nibble solid foods at 3 - 4 weeks of age.
-
Keep moistened Pro Plan available at all times. Allow your puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6 - 8 weeks). After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule such as three small meals a day for younger puppies.
-
You can gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The routine should not vary. As puppies near adulthood, their calorie needs may drop, and your puppy may begin leaving some food in the bowl. Don't misinterpret this as an indication of dislike for the food. Instead, begin offering less so your puppy doesn't overeat and stays in ideal body condition.
Making The Switch To Pro Plan Although You'Ll Be Anxious To See The Difference Pro Plan Can Make In Your Dog, Please Allow 7 - 10 Days To Ease The Transition From Your Dog'S Current Food. Each Day, Simply Feed A Little Less Of The Previous Food And A Little More Pro Plan Until You'Re Feeding Pro Plan Exclusively. This Gradual Transition Will Help Avoid Dietary Upsets.

Goldendoodle Loves It!
By DoodleMom on Mar 12, 2021
My Goldendoodle puppy was eating the food his breeder sent him home with but gradually stopped eating by 6 months. I switched over to this food after a vet recommendation and reading the reviews. Ever since switching over, my dog stopped refusing his food and now eats his meals within minutes. The best part of this food is that it soothed his sensitive stomach. He's no longer constipated and his poops are actually normal for the first time in his puppy life.

Good quality food
By Frogdog on Feb 22, 2021
I have a French Bulldog who is 7 months old. He will be on puppy food till he's 1yr old. The freshpet was waiting me out of house and home. Talked to my vet and SHE RECOMMENDED this food to feed in place of one meal of freshpet. I didn't make the gradual transition. Just started feeding him this. No stomach upset. Great pops. He loves it. I have an adult female French bulldog and she is on the same kind only made for adult dogs. She is doing great on that too. Finally a good quality food that doesn't rock the bank

Comes Highly Recommended!
By Karrie on Feb 15, 2021 top1000Contributor
We recently got an 8 week old Golden Retriever puppy and Purina Pro Plan is one of the most recommended brands of food for golden retrievers in a few groups I’m in. The sensitive skin and stomach is also highly recommended for goldens because they can be prone to skin problems. So far our puppy is doing great on the food, she has a soft shiny puppy coat, bright clear eyes, and really good bowel movements. She also loves the food so that is a plus as well! The 24 lb bag fits into a 50lb Vittles Vaultz storage container with a little finagling for those who like to keep the food in the original bag but still store it in a closing container.

Great for puppies
By Lorac280 on Mar 30, 2021
I was feeding my dogs at five weeks wellness brand. They loved it it was working well. One day they started having stomach issues and after four weeks and trying everything I switched to this. Within two days we had regular bells and we’re eating even eating less because we were staying full.

Inconsistent kibble size and color constantly changing
By Livenlearn on Mar 18, 2021
Been using this for several months now. Every time I get a new bag the kibble size or color changes. The inconsistency is about to make me change brands. I’d also like to know what the black particles are because they pass through my dog and I can see it in their poo. It must be ground fish scales. Poo is solid with this food and they eat it ok.

So far, so good.
By Kacie on Mar 15, 2021
We kept our new puppy on the same brand of food that the breeder used to avoid any stomach issues. However, he still ended up with diarrhea that wouldn’t go away. I found this when I was researching different foods and decided to give it a try. It has made a huge difference and he seems to enjoy it.

Worked Wonders!
By Eliza on Feb 2, 2021
We started our puppy off with a chicken based Blue Buffalo puppy food. It seemed to irritate her skin and her stool was always soft and questionable. Not to mention she had horrible gas 90% of the time. Purina Pro Plan was recommended by a friend with a puppy and after only a day or two of her being on this new food, we noticed an immediate difference! She also just loves the taste and is more excited than ever for her meals. We're very pleased with this food!

Pup wouldn't eat it
By Allie on Mar 7, 2021
Our pup just didn't like this kibble. We tried this after a bout of diarrhea (slowly transitioned from his soft/bland food) but he just won't eat the dry food. We ended up switching to a different brand and flavor that he does like and does well with his stomach.

Great food for picky eaters
By Shan on Mar 14, 2021
This food has been great for our pup. Not only does he have sensitive skin he’s also an extremely picky eater. This is the only food we have been able to get him to eat consistently. It has also helped his skin issues. Definitely recommend!

Great puppy food
By Winni on Apr 3, 2021
Great puppy food. We've tried several and this has made a big difference in digestion, coat, and energy. Pupper doesn't love it as much as others tried, but he still enjoys it.
