I found my kitten at about 6 weeks deserted in my carport. She was hardly a pound. For the last couple weeks I’ve been feeding her this kibble mixed with the wet Mother & Babycat food. She’s put on considerable weight, has perfect poops, and is incredibly energetic. I’m now mixing this with the Wellness Complete chicken pate and so far so great. She even scarfs this food down on its own. I understand the flak that cat food with grains get, but I do think it’s necessary dietary fiber for good poops. This stuff just works. Highly recommend!
I've been using this over the years for pregnant & nursing mom's and also recently weaned kittens. They all love this food. In fact, if any other cats are around, they vie for this the food over what I normally feed. All the cats/kittens I've ever fed this to are very bright and healthy. I highly recommend it for healthy pregnancies, nursing and kittens.
Recommended by my vet, this is the first kitty out of the 5 I have had who lives kibble! She eats it throughout the day and night!
I have been buying this food for years and it is frusrating that it is so inconsistent from batch to batch. Sometimes kittens will be used to the last few bags and then new shopping, new batch, different smell different shape size, different color and they puke. I understand that when one switches from a brand to brand there might be some stomach issues but this should not happen with the same brand the same item. I would appreciate if they would have more quality controll and make sure that the kibbles are always the tinniest so the baby kittens do nto struggle with the larger kibles mixed in and also the smell/ flavor... most of the time it does smell like nice roasted chicken but sometimes it does not have any specific smell and or not a nice one.
We foster kittens and this is the best food. It is the thing that helps us the most transition them from wet to dry. They love the taste, I feel like they’re getting the nutrients and the calories they need I feel like they’re more playful. They have less bathroom issues and we go through a lot of kittens, fostering and a lot of different food so this is the best food out there for them.
I'm very happy with this kitten food. first of all I like the packaging, very bright and appealing, but more importantly my Garfield is a big fan. when he really enjoys a certain kibble, he goes nuts, eating like there's no tomorrow. he only gets like that over a couple of options he's tried and this is now one of them. the ingredients aren't bad either, I don't really have any issues with this food that I can think of. very happy that my little guy and I got to try it.
This is a great food for younger and older cats but it's almost impossible to afford these days and now add shrinkflation...the price has gone up once again but the size of the bag has gone from 7lbs to 6lbs. Very expensive food.
This is the absolute best for nursing moms or very little ones learning to eat on their own. The small nugget size is easy for little ones to eat. Have never had a kitten that didn't eat it
I fed this to ALL six(6) of my cats 13 mos up to 17 years -they all love it, but because of the price they only get it as a treat food.
My kitties love Mother & Babycat, unfortunately, Royal Canin reduced the weight of the large bag from 7 lbs. to 6 lbs., but kept the price the same. Boo, hiss!
