approximately how many cups are in a 30lb bag?
Answer by rogerAug 05, 2021
There's approximately 4 cups in every pound of kibble food. The 6-pound bag has about 24 cups and the 30-pound bag has about 120 cups. I saw this answer when I googled your question.

Royal Canin products are manufactured in their facilities in Missouri and South Dakota.

What is the maximum protein content of this food?
Answer by ChewySep 12, 2018
Products are tested to be 100% nutritionally complete and balanced for your pet's life stages. Although the manufacturer doesn't test for the maximum percentages, their ingredients are approved for use in pet foods by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO), the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and the Pet Food Industry Group (PFI).

Getting adjusted

I am a very picky dog. My mommy treats me very well with treats and “extras “ to nibble on. I think this is my problem besides having difficulty in getting the same food month after month. I like the Royal Canin adult food. I just have to adjust to the new size. And not expecting those “extras” all the time . ;-)

Size is everything

My Foster Pup Ginger had been eating Royal Canin Puppy "Medium" size weight 23 - 55 pounds. So naturally now that she is 11 months old, time to switch to adult. Assuming Medium is Medium, I bought the Adult "Medium" size, same weight guide. This food is TWICE the size of the puppy food, she can not eat this. She is a 24 pound Beagle. Of course, when I bought the only bags available from Chewy were the 17 lb bags, so this was a $55.00 dollar waste. I will try and donate. Lesson learned. Very disappointed.

Good even for sensitive skin!

My dog had been eating the Royal Canin Sensitive Skin food, but since it was out of stock, we tried this one. She loves it and has not had any additional skin issues since switching.

Among the Very Best

My dog loves this food! Ate it up the second I gave it to her, and tried to stick her nose in the bag for seconds! Also, within days of switching from a more expensive, boutique brand with ingredients that SOUNDED good, I believe my girl is healthier and happier. Her fur is softer, she is more regular, and she no longer produces putrid gas. I've gone from the boutique pet food aisle to singing the praises of the science-based Royal Canin! I used to believe the best food for my dog would have the highest protein, highest fat, and would contain only animals products under the first few ingredients. Companies that formulate their food according to these principles were successful in selling to me the notion that all this meant a “higher quality” food. Sadly, marketing firms with no training or background in dog nutrition are not a reliable source for what sufficient protein and fat levels are for my dog. They can pick ingredients that sound good, but can they ensure they constitute a balanced diet? Likely not. That's why I like to see credible experts are formulating my dog's food. Unfortunately, very, very few brands of dog food keep even one board-certified veterinary nutritionist or PhD on staff to formulate their products. At last count Royal Canin had NINE (!), board-certified veterinary nutritionists on full-time payroll helping formulate and test their products -- more than any other brand I could find. The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) has guidelines that help pet owners pick a diet that is most likely to be good for their pet's long-term health. I would urge all dog owners to search for and look at these criteria. If you are curious who meets these criteria, the Pet Nutritional Alliance has sent survey questions to pet food manufacturers that you can find online. Royal Canin is one of the few brands that meet (and even exceeds) all these guidelines. Why should you care what WSAVA guidelines say? Despite having a huge market share, none of the brands that meet WSAVA guidelines have been implicated in the FDA's report of diet-based DCM -- a very real, painful, and fatal heart condition. I don't believe this is an accident. We've all read the internet sites that purport to know what foods are best for your dog. Don't listen to them. Don't listen to me! Evaluate your dog's diet based on WSAVA's guidelines and (preferably) in conversation with a trusted veterinarian. I think a Royal Canin food consistent with your dog's size, health, and life stage is a fantastic place to start. Thanks to Chewy for making it easy for my dog to get this excellent, safe, healthy, delicious food!

Not same enjoyment as Puppy medium product

My mini golden doodle was fed with puppy medium breed until 11 month and now she is having the adult variety. However she does not enjoy eating it at all. So more and more I have to add extra things and even with mixing with Cesar and other premium wet products , is hard having her eating. I am sure is a great product nutritional wise however I was disappointed about its enjoyment perormance.

Best Dog Food

I have been using this dog food for almost 3 years now. My dog loves it and refuses to eat another brand. I even turned my mother in laws dog on to it. Now her dog will eat dry food without scraps and is finally loosing weight, becoming energetic, and wanting to play like a real dog. Highly recommend this dog food

My Vet Recommends

I have two picky eater, 1 year old border collies. Vet recommended Royal Canin because it is nutritionally sound and because, in her experience, picky eaters like Royal Canin. She is right. Both dogs like this kibble.

My dog is obsessed with this food.

She can't wait for me to feed her! She actually jumps up and down at meal time until I feed her

Good kibble

Am mixing this with what I have left of Royal Canin for Boxers. My Boxer likes the mix, if Royal Canin for Boxers can’t be ordered when time then will keep ordering Royal Canin Health

Good Product

We bought this for our big dog at the recommendation of our vet and I think he would eat the entire bag if we let him. He loves it. We use it as a reward when training him as well.
