Royal Canin Canine Hepatic Dry is a highly palatable and digestible dog food, restricted in copper content and formulated with nutrients essential to support liver function. The high energy density helps reduce necessary food volume in dogs with poor appetites, while this formula contains a precise blend of antioxidants to help support a healthy immune system. With the help of your veterinarian and Royal Canin, there’s not just hope; there can be a true difference.

Pets can be sensitive to sudden changes in their diets. For this reason, it is extremely important to follow a gradual transition plan to best support your pet's health and product effectiveness. It is recommended to follow at least a 7-day transition plan before exclusively feeding your pet a new food. Start by mixing 75% of your pet's current diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the current diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the current diet with 75% of the new diet. On Day 7, you can feed your pet the new food exclusively. Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.

I have a very fragile little boy (pomeranian) with multiple health problems due to amoral and ethicless breeding practices. His diet has had to be changed multiple times on an emergency basis. Y'all have responded to these demanding changes so wonderfully by getting his new diet to him incredibly fast. Without the necessary changes, he would have died. Literally. Thank you for saving my baby by ensuring he had what he needed when he needed it!!!! P.S. He is also my service dog, and has gotten me 6.5 years past MY life expectancy. I owe him my life. Thank you for helping me save his.
This food has been a lifesaver for my pets. My oldest is 15 and he still runs and plays. But really the review is about the amazing customer service I get from Chewy
I've had to change dry food due to my dog's medical needs. Chewy customer service was so helpful, even when Royal Canin was unavailable as I needed it.
My Hershey loves Royal Canon, I was almost out of his food and Chewy came in for me in getting it to me in time before we actually ran out.
My dog NEEDS this product. But with a 51 PERCENT price increase in 5 years? $25 increase in ONE YEAR??? How do you expect customers to keep up with such high increases. Really disappointed in Chewy
My 5 yr. old Labrador was diagnosed with liver copper storage problems in August. He was immediately put on both wet and dry hepatic care food. He is also on zinc pills for the next four months to help draw out the copper. He goes for his post diagnosis blood test in a week. Crossing g my fingers that this low copper food helps lower his copper. If you have labs, dalmatio s and a few other breeds PLEASE don't feed them pork, organ meats, lamb, or dark meat chicken or turkey. Peanut butter is also LOADED with copper.
this product always seems to be on backorder! They must have a really really bad supply chain. They cannot be counted on as a reliable supplier for your pet needs.
He loves it but I find it expensive and hard to get a large bag.
My dog needed veterinary Gastro intestinal food. Some miscommunication between my vet and Chewy they sent hepatic food. They happily returned the hepatic and got me the Gastro a special diet foods.
Pleased with the ingredients for my labradoodle's compromised liver, but she is not loving it. Labradoodles are picky eaters but we are getting her to eat it.
