The formula for these kibbles is new. The old recipe drove my cats wild for more, which wasn't so good: they would bulk up on kibbles and not eat any wet food. These aren't quite as attractive, but they're tasty enough to get eaten at a moderate rate. That's good. Because this food has a probiotic in it, my cat who's on normal food has better bowel movements when eating it alongside the special-diet cat. I'm glad that neither cat will gain weight on this food, which was the problem with the earlier version.
Royal Canin cat food
I purchased this for my cat who has chronic pancreatitis as suggested by my vet. He really doesn’t care too much for it. I did have him on Purina Pro Plan Weight Management but thought I’d try the Royal Canin. We’ll see if I keep him on it.
Cat refused to eat it.
Sadly, my cat wouldn't eat it. His usual food is Hills Prescription Diet Gastrointestinal with Biome and that is impossible to find with all the shipping delays. Returning it for credit was very easy.
Our cats took to it right away and the good part it is good for both of them. The sick cat and why we had to change foods and give twice daily steroids to because of her IBS condition and she has now gained 1.6 lbs. and no more throwing up.
Royal Canin Product
I was ordered by the vet to get gastrointestinal food for one week for my cat. BIG BAG of dry gastrointestinal food was the only gastro food you had to offer me. I wanted the wet and you were out of it. I only has to put my cat on a gastro diet for one week and I am stuck with a $55 bag of dry from Chewy's. Why don't they have them in small portions so I don't go broke on trying it on my cat with renal failure that he won't eat. Your staff were terrific when I called. But, unfortunately I am stuck with this $55 bag that I will never use again.
Works great for my cat
Works pretty well for my cat with stomach issues. She’s still having a few problems so we may have to try something else soon but I do think this is a good product.
Kitty prefers this to other brands
I don’t know what’s different about this brand’s GI dry food but my kitty loves it and definitely prefers it (I bought another kind by mistake and she won’t touch it!) She loves this stuff and I think it’s helping her to gain weight!
Great for sensitive tummys
My 3 cats love this food and have had no gastrointestinal upsets on this food
Effective for Diarrhea
I bought this dry food to supplement the cans, that my cat didn't take to that much. She much preferred this dry food. It cleared up her diarrhea in just a few days, after she had been suffering with it for a month. The vet didn't have the dry food in stock, and I'm happy that Chewy did. My cat still wants to eat this dry food, even though she doesn't need to anymore.
Chewy for everything always
Chewy is the absolute best, I get all my cat's food and etc., at Chewy.
