  • So Far So Good

    By on

My Shiba Inu has been on this diet for a little over a week at the recommendation of my vet. She seems to like the smell/texture/flavor of this canned food so far. I have not fully integrated her on the canned food, but it seems to be helping so I'll probably order more for her to see how she does. She suffers from a gastro-intestinal issue that comes and goes from time to time and my vet is baffled on the cause.

  • All 3 of my dogs LOVE this food.

    By on

One of my dogs spent days at the emergency hospital with acute pancreatitis and this is the food that the doctors decided would be the safest for him. He loved it immediately - and that was after days of not being interested in any food. Since I have 2 other dogs I thought it would be easier to feed them all the same food. They LOVE it also. I use the kibble and the canned together and all 3 of them wolf it down. It sure makes "prescription" food so easy to feed. No struggle there. The vet did say that the Royal Canin was the healthiest "hydrolyzed protein" food to feed them.

My dog is allergic to protein can you believe it. It is very hard to find his food I tried vet offices and they said try Chewy.com. I did and was so relieved that they had his food and cheaper with no shipping charges. Thank you Chewy.com! Jean Lener

  • My dog likes this Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP canned Dog Food

    By on

My dog has Lymphangiectasia and doesn't eat well. I anticipated a struggle with any hydrolyzed protein, and purchased it reluctantly as he certainly doesn't need to loose more weight. To my relief, he really likes this food. I think its a great product and it will be a staple in my dog's diet. I signed up for periodic deliveries as that affords the best price per can.

  • Life is great

We have had Stanley for 3 years. He is a rescue Yorkie with a lot of health issues. One being IBD. Our new Vet prescribed Royal Canin Hydrolyzed and for the 1st time since we got him, Stanley loves to eat. He wakes up and dances around the kitchen until I fix his 1st meal of the day. Him dancing around the kitchen brings tears to my eyes. Stanley loves Royal Canin. And I love watching him eat.

  • Prescribed by vet

It took quite about 2 weeks for my cat's to get use to this food. For a canned food it was very dry and hard. I had to mush it up and add a bit of water to make it palatable to my cats. Now they're eating it.

  • Our Shepard seems to love it!

    By on

Seems a little dry for 'wet' food but our shepard eats it faster than anything else we've fed him, including raw food. Going to try the dry hydrolyzed also since the Vet says he's got to eat this type of food.

  • Dog with food allergies....

    By on

Clancy has food allergies and we were cooking ground chicken, rice and veggies for him and mixed it with royal Canin HP Mod Cal dry food. When the HP wet food came out it was too expensive and we continued to cook to Clancy. Chewy.com's prices and free shipping made it possible for us to try it. Clancy loves it.

  • My dog is prescribed this food.

    By on

My dog was a home cooked only dog until he kept developing yeast infections in his ears. My vet put him on a food trial, only hydrolyzed protein. He is a picky, picky guy, and he reallllly loves this stuff, even cold right out of the fridge. (In a desert summer, a cold slimy meaty treat is pretty nice for a pup.) I feel good about this brand as someone who has always home cooked. It's all good. Expensive, but worth the cost for both the medical and yum factor!
