  • My dog loves this food!

    By on

After my dog became disinterested in his regular food (Natures Recipe) and started having several days of vomiting in a row, our vet prescribed him a month long "diet" of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal" dry dog food. Since my dog had recently developed picky eating habits I didn't know if he would like this food however he LOVES IT! He is back to his semi-normal eating schedule. I will say we absolutely do not feed him the amount on the feeding guide of the bag, I continue to feed him the same amount of food he was eating of the Natures Recipe - He is 97 lbs (German Shepherd/Lab/Pit Bull mix) and I feed him about 2.5-3 cups per day while the recommended amount on the bag is 7.5 cups per day. Also, I did my research and Chewy had by far the lowest price on this food! My vet said it'd be easy for us to start introducing his old food again with this food as well after his "diet" this month ends but we may keep him on it. … more

  • This stuff is miraculous!

My dog Gucci is almost 9 years old. I rescued him when he was 5, when he was diagnosed with PLE (Protein Losing Enteropathy) and his owner was going to euthanize him. He has had a ton of problems since them (including suffering a stroke which almost prompted me to have him put to sleep, but that he came back from). I had him on a different food for the PLE, but it never really worked with all of his other digestive issues. He'd get bloated with fluid in his abdomen and have non-stop diarrhea. No medication in the world could help. I finally had had enough and looked into this food and decided to try it. He has been on the food for about a month and after day 2, I saw a huge difference in him. My dog Gucci is almost 9 years old. He is happy and enjoying life. Thank you Royal Canin and Chewy. You have made Gucci's life enjoyable again! … more

  • Recommend it! Great Product!

My vet prescribed this to my dog which was found on the streets by my step-daughter. The food doesn't smell bad and if you sprinkle a little water and put it in the microwave for a few seconds the smell of the food makes her go crazy for it. I also love it because she can have both hard food and soft with the same product. This means I don't have to buy can foods to prevent constipation. Plus her breath doesn't smell bad which entails I'm no longer nauseous when brushing her teeth. Overall I recommend it this product to anyone, even the dog doesn't have gastrointestinal problems. I give it to my other dog and he loves it as well to the point where he no longer chews his food but swallows so he My vet prescribed this to my dog which was found on the streets by my step-daughter. • Good for rescue dog

    By on

We rescued an American eskimo back in March and he would vomit about every three days, sometimes every other day. We tried three different dry foods, a raw diet, had X-rays taken that were negative, had a barium study done that was negative, and finally a test for Addison's disease that was also negative. We were at a loss and wondering why he just couldn't keep any food down. Finally, the vet recommended this food. He has not vomited since we switched about a month ago. This food saved our little one! He's back to being his healthy, spunky self!

  • Love this stuff!

My 7 year old Westie was recently diagnosed with high cholesterol. The vet prescribed this food and originally, I was buying it straight from my vet. Eventually, it became a hassle every time I ran out - had to call the vet, see if they had any in stock, if they did, I would drive there on a weekday to pick it up. The price was also horrendous. Then, I discovered Chewy carried this brand -- all they needed was a photo of the prescription from my vet. I ordered it on a Tuesday evening. It was at my door on Friday and was $15 cheaper than what I was paying at the vet! I love Chewy and I love how this food has changed my dog's energy level. I will never go back!

  • Great Product

My vet prescribed this for my little girl that has had several medical issues with stomach as well as being allergic to dust mites. My other little girls also as eat as good for them too. The pieces are small and easy for them to chew. I also use the can food to give Mika her meds and her sisters look to see if she might have dropped something.

  • Best food our dog is able to digest and keep down

    By on

Our dog is part lab. She had a severe pancreatitis attack last year, she had been having problems since then. We have been making her dog food because she can't tolerate any dog food since the attack. Even diet science prescription made her sick. Im tired of all the cooking from scratch and our vet suggested this brand. She has been on steroids. , vit B and pepsid. It's been over a month and we are so happy that this food is working. We ordered the largest size. It's great to have it delivered because I could never lift it. My husband just has to bring into the home from driveway. Very convenient. Love chewy and will use from now on

  • Great taste according to my dog

    By on

My dog is not usually a picky eater, as she is a rescue from a puppy mill and happy to just have a meal...However she has a very sensitive stomach and was put on Science Diet I/D food which she was fine with for a bit but then just stopped eating it. I thought something was wrong with her but turns out she just didn't like it anymore. We switched to Royal Canin Gastrointestinal and she gobbles the entire bowl right away! You are supposed to mix it with the old food but she just kept picking it out! If you need something that is RX but need your dog to want to eat it, try this brand!

  • Thanks You!

Royal Canin arrived at lightening speed! That's a plus because I was not doing my best. Getting me on this early made all the difference in the world to me. The product is just what the Veterinarian ordered. I ate it like a champ and I was good to go afterwards! I know my dad told you all that I don't like taking pictures. I might let him take one of me just so you know I'm feeling fine! Thank you all for your super fast turnaround, and for always making me and my siblings (the bird, fish and chinchillas included) feel our greatest! LeiLani

  • Candy loves it

    By on

This particular flavor was originally prescribed for my other dog several years ago and when he passed over the rainbow bridge 5 years ago, still had most of a 17.6 lb bag left. Started mixing it in with the younger dog Candy's food and she loved it so much she refused the other food. Vet said it was good for her, so she's been on it ever since. And buying it from Chewy really saved a lot as the price is way lower than anywhere else. Candy is 13+ and super-healthy so I definitely recommend the Royal Canin brand and Chewy.
