Precautions

Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes and clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, or using tobacco. Repeated exposure to etofenprox can cause skin irritation. For External Use Only. Do not use on pets under 12 weeks of age. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Certain medications can interact with pesticides. Consult a veterinarian before using on medicated animals. Do not use or store near heat or open flame.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Instructions

Remove product tube from the package. Holding tube with notched end pointing up and away from the face and body, cut off the narrow end at the notches. While holding the animal with one hand, use the other hand to apply the solution. Invert the tube and use the narrow end to part the animal's hair while gently squeezing to apply to the animal's skin starting high on the back of the cat's neck to in front of the shoulder blades. Hold the animal for a few seconds to give the solution time to be absorbed into the animal's coat. When finished, wrap the tube in paper and put into the trash.

I read a bunch of reviews on this product and all the other products. This will not work alone for an infestation. Shave your cat. Yep that sounds terrible but let me tell you it works. They have nothing to hang onto. Then bathe them but do not use topical treatment same day. Wait 24 to 48hrs to apply. Did not work

By ChaiKat on Sep 25, 2020

We have four indoor cats and acquired fleas from a recent vet boarding stay by one of our cats for a procedure. To ensure we could get rid of the fleas, we gave each of the cats a bath and fully dried them prior to applying the product (applied as directed). On the same day, we vacuumed the entire house and furniture, and washed all of the cats' bedding and our own bedding to be able to achieve the fastest and best results. It is now less then 3 weeks from the time of application and fleas have returned to the level we originally saw them just prior to application. This is disappointing given the product description stating that it will kill adults, larvae, and eggs, with a window of efficacy We have four indoor cats and acquired fleas from a recent vet boarding stay by one of our cats for a procedure. It's possible that this product was not kept in the correct storage conditions prior to being shipped to us. The shipment arrived very quickly, so it's unlikely the storage conditions in transit are to blame. I will be seeking a refund for this product. … more

By Meredith on Sep 15, 2020

It was very oily and stayed visible for several days but I am not sure it worked very well as my cats continued to seem itchy long after application.

Sentry flea & tick squeeze-on for cats

By Carol on Jun 17, 2020

Please people, don't waste your money on this stuff! I have 14 cats so I purchased this because it was cheaper, but instead of saving money I threw it away! My cats are loaded with fleas, especially on their heads... close to where the product was applied. I can't believe this stuff didn't work AT ALL! I hate that I wasted my money, something very limited to me, being on a low fixed income. Chewy should take this off of their site!!
