What does a red light mean? Does that mean it's on?

The light will show when the heater is on. When the water temperature is under 74°F, the aquarium heater starts working. When the water temperature reaches higher than 77°F , the aquarium heater stops heating. This ensures that the temperature stays constant between 74-77°F (24-25 ℃) which is the ideal temperature for Betta.

Can this heater be used on acrylic tanks or will it melt?

Warm tank happy fish

My betta was sulking near the glass and barely moving, which freaked me out. I checked the water and it felt way too cool for him. I put in this aquarium heater and waited, hoping for the best. Not long after, the tank felt steady and my betta started cruising around like he owned the place again!!. Easy setup, quiet, and it DOESNT mess with the space. Kinda funny how warm water fixed his mood?

Reached 83 degrees before I had to unplug it. Tested again and same thing. It doesn’t turn off automatically as stated
