I had last purchased this hay 15 years ago, back when the bags were about 3.50 each. This particular meadow grass hay has lived on my mind since, because it smelled

I had last purchased this hay 15 years ago, back when the bags were about 3.50 each. This particular meadow grass hay has lived on my mind since, because it smelled so sweet and delicious that I wanted to eat it myself. My degus and rabbits enjoyed it thoroughly. Since that time, I have mostly used local hay bales, and also never repurchased as I was uncomfortable with the company, for they didn't align with my ethics. But, currently dealing with a hay-picky rabbit, I decided to try this hay again after all this time because of that memory of how it smelled. Unfortunately, hay-picky rabbit won't touch it, but also unfortunate for me, it didn't smell as wonderful as it did so long ago. The hay strands are also much shorter than those old bags, after comparing to photos I took at the time. The ratio of hay crumbs to hay strands in the bag is more than I would prefer. The color and fresh scent of the batch does appear fine though. I will keep offering this hay in the litterbox in hopes prolonged exposure will encourage them to try it, but I probably won't have any luck.

My buns are very particular about their hay. This is one that I purchase regularly and know the buns will eat. It’s easy to pull and manage the amount you want
