Good product but my cats hate it

By Cindy on Oct 25, 2021

My two cats refuse to eat this flavor. I tried serving it: straight from the can, added warm water, added tuna (which they love), added more tuna, added tuna juice, and mixed with other cat food that they like. None of these offerings were eaten. I ended up throwing what amounted to at least 2 entire cans in the garbage. The quality of the food was good, as was that of a different flavor (which they loved) of the same brand. They eat other salmon cat food, but for some reason, they refuse to eat this. In fact, my most finicky eater preferred to starve rather than eat this food. One evening my boyfriend pitied him and gave him a pile of shrimp. My 28 cats liked this flavor much better

By CBYcats on Apr 16, 2021

We had tried the trout flavor before which my cats hated but they seem to really like the salmon. I like that there are no by-products so this is a much healthier food. I'm a vet tech of over 30 yrs. so I know to NOT feed my cats grain free. This is a much better food for my cats.

    It is just ok

By Philby on Apr 10, 2021

The pate is to soft/mushy for my kitties. I have to mix it with other food & still have trouble. This food is really good for them. I wish they would eat it.

    Not good. Would not recommend

By trisch on Dec 8, 2020

Feral cats would not eat it and it is hard to slide out of the can . The only thing that ate it where the raccoons and skunks.

    Hit and miss

By Specklepaw on Apr 27, 2020

Reading the reviews of the salmon it seemed some liked it and some didn't. I have several cats so the opinion here is always mixed. I tried it because most of mine like salmon. The first can everyone loved it. The next can about half of them ate it eagerly and the other half poked around finishing it. My guess is something in the ingredients varies slightly from can to can or my cats are just being jerks about the food. Anyway the quality of the ingredients seem decent so I will continue to mix this in with the other flavors and see what happens.

    Not a big hit!

By Jaki on May 8, 2020

My 3 cats are so so on this even though salmon is their favorite. I now mix it with another brand of salmon. They like it ok.

This formula has changed with the label change!

By LALO on Dec 8, 2019

My cat loved this food for 2 years, suddenly the label for the same product changed. I thought the new label didn’t mean new formula and trust that my cat didn’t see what the labels looked like to begin with. However! George (my cat) hates it! I swear this must be a different formula. I’m sorry according to George, I can’t recommend it. Please decide for yourselves.
