Answer by ChewyApr 30, 2024
SHAKE WELL. For dry application - apply directly to skin and haircoat and allow to dry. For wet application or after shampooing - remove excess moisture and apply directly to skin and haircoat. Use 1 - 3 times weekly or as directed by veterinarian.

Can this be used on paws that have been chewed and that are raw?

This spray can be applied to irritated or sore paws, however, this spray is topical use only and should not be applied to open wounds or bleeding sores. If skin irritation develops or increases, stop use and call your veterinarian.

This product is very helpful to my dog who has skin allergies, but the product design of the bottle is terrible. I have ordered it repeatedly and each time the same issue occurred with the sprayer. The fact you need to shake it to mix the contents before use makes the spraying ability almost non existent, but I encountered spraying issues even without shaking it. It may work initially, when the bottle is full, but then does not. The top does not unscrew so there is not even an option of transferring the contents to a different bottle. I grew tired of drilling holes into the heavy plastic bottle to transfer it to a workable sprayer, and finally started mixing my own at home using different brands of the same active ingredients. Chewy was wonderful about returns, but then I just dealt with it because it was not Chewy’s fault, but the manufacturer.

Heavily scented

Smells very different from the regular TrizChlor4 line. Not fresh and has a cologne type of smell.

Bought it and used it as recommended by the vet and it made my cat’s skin worse. Left a film that would build up if not cleaned. Every time I sprayed, my cat reacted negatively to it as if it burned. He would try to itch any chance he got. I had to stop use because his skin got worse.

I have tried MANY products over the past several years for my mix terrier's itchy skin issues. She is allergic to grass pollen. Any part of her skin that touches the grass causes her to itch. She would constantly scratch and bite at those areas. I tried a ton of shampoos, lotions, sprays, etc with very little success. I have used the shampoo, with this same name, but it did not work as well for my dog as their spray does. I use this spray on her paws, belly and tail area that touches the ground. For the first time we have her itching under control; therefore I only have to spray her once or twice a week. It is also helping with mosquito bites. It has a slight sweet smell but the odor does not linger. I spray her and then take her for a walk. By the time we are done walking, she is dry and itch free!

will stick with the shampoo

The shampoo seems to work better. The dogs run from this as if it burns or something and it leaves a weird film and smell.
