Did know what to expect.
I was skeptical how large this was going to be after opening a medium size from another manufacturer WOW! when I saw the humungous box I thought man they must have packed this really well. To my surprise there was just a little packaging and giant stump. This Eucalyptus Root is so large I will need to modify it to fit in my 40 breeder. I had to use the bath tub to soak it and it still did not fully submerge it.
Great product but.....
I received these 2/22/23. They have been soaking in a 5 gallon bucket of water since to release the tannins and saturate so they don't float. Every week the water is dark brown. I have changed the water weekly and think I might be able to put them in my tank soon. The soak time is much longer than one would anticipate but I absolutely love them and they will look amazing once I can get them in the tank. Only negative is how long it has taken to get the buoyancy and tannins out of them.
Great piece of wood
I was a little skeptical ordering this piece. I was a afraid it was going to be small and not worth the money. Boy was I wrong. It’s probably 12-14 inches long. I couldn’t be happier and I’m excited to put this in my tank.
