Chewy Vet Care provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats, with services designed to support your pet through every stage of life. Our veterinary services include primary care, urgent care, virtual care, pharmacy services, vaccinations, dental care, soft-tissue surgery, puppy and kitten care, and senior pet care.
Primary Care: We provide day-to-day veterinary care to help keep your pet healthy throughout their life. Primary care services include wellness exams, diagnostic checkups, vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, routine labwork, nutrition and weight management, pain management, and treatment for common illnesses and ongoing health concerns. Our veterinarians can help with allergies, skin conditions, itchy ears and ear infections, digestive issues, respiratory problems, eye issues, scooting, and chronic conditions such as arthritis or diabetes. We also provide ongoing health monitoring and follow-up care.
Urgent Care: When your dog or cat needs veterinary attention sooner than a routine appointment but is not experiencing a life-threatening emergency, we offer same day and next-day urgent care appointments. Our urgent veterinary care can help with vomiting or diarrhea, limping and swelling, coughing or sneezing, itchy skin and hot spots, low or no appetite, lethargy, minor wounds, eye or ear irritation, allergic reactions, changes in urination, accidental ingestion, and other sudden signs of illness. Depending on your pet's condition, your veterinarian may recommend diagnostic testing such as bloodwork, urinalysis, or X-rays, as well as wound care, treatment for infections or allergic reactions, pain management, or short-term monitoring.
Virtual Care: We provide virtual visits with licensed veterinarians daily from 8 am to 3 am ET and free live chat with vet techs available 365 days a year. Virtual visits connect you via video call with a licensed veterinarian who can offer advice and a personalized treatment plan that may include a prescription. Our vets can help with a wide range of everyday health needs and concerns, like flea & tick prescriptions, veterinary diets, digestive issues, skin and ear concerns, behavioral challenges and more. It costs $49.99 per virtual visit; same-day appointments are usually available. Virtual visits are currently available in Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. Pet parents can also take advantage of our free live chat with a credentialed vet tech in all states (excluding Alaska, Georgia, and Hawaii). Live chat is available daily from 6 a.m. to midnight ET, and it’s free with a free Chewy account. While vet techs can’t provide prescriptions, diagnoses, or treatment plans, they can help answer many questions about your pet’s health. Learn more about Chewy Vet Care virtual visits and live chat.
Pharmacy: We offer a full-service veterinary pharmacy for prescription medications, parasite preventatives, and prescription diets recommended by your pet's care team. Prescriptions and other eligible products can be delivered to your home, with optional Autoship available for ongoing needs. Some items are available for pick up at a Chewy Vet Care clinic.
Vaccines: We provide core and lifestyle-based vaccinations for dogs and cats to help protect against preventable diseases. Your veterinarian will recommend a vaccination schedule based on your pet's age, health history, environment, and lifestyle. Available vaccines include Bordetella, canine rabies, DA2PP, leptospirosis, canine influenza, feline rabies, FeLV, FVRCP, and appropriate booster vaccinations.
Dental Care: Our veterinary dental services help keep your pet's teeth and gums healthy and address oral health concerns that can cause pain or infection. Services include dental exams, routine dental cleanings under anesthesia, full-mouth dental X-rays, scaling and tartar removal, polishing, gum care, tooth extractions when necessary, oral pain management, and recommendations for at-home dental care. We offer different levels of dental treatment based on the severity of your pet's dental disease, from routine cleanings for mild tartar and gum inflammation to more advanced treatment for pets that need multiple extractions or treatment for significant periodontal disease.
Surgery: Chewy Vet Care veterinarians perform a range of routine and more complex soft-tissue surgical procedures in fully equipped surgical suites. Surgical services include spay and neuter procedures, mass and lump removals, biopsies, foreign object removal, urinary stone removal, gastropexy, C-sections, and hernia repair. Surgical patients receive general anesthesia, continuous monitoring, pain management, and an individualized recovery plan. Before surgery, we perform a pre-anesthetic evaluation and develop a personalized anesthesia plan to help provide the safest possible care.
Puppy & Kitten Care: We provide veterinary care specifically designed to give puppies and kittens a healthy start. Our team can support you through your new pet's first-year milestones, including wellness visits, first vaccinations and boosters, parasite prevention, nutrition guidance, behavior guidance, and other preventive care needs. As your puppy or kitten grows, we can help you understand what's normal, identify health concerns early, and build a personalized plan for their ongoing care.
Senior Pet Care: Older dogs and cats often benefit from more frequent monitoring and care tailored to their changing health needs. Our senior pet care services include routine wellness screenings, management of chronic and age-related conditions, pain management, mobility support, dental care, and lifestyle recommendations designed to help pets stay comfortable and maintain their quality of life. Our veterinarians can help monitor and manage conditions commonly seen in senior pets, including arthritis, dental disease, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, and other chronic health concerns.
From routine wellness and preventive veterinary care to same-day urgent care, dental procedures, surgery, prescription medications, and virtual support, Chewy Vet Care is designed to be a long-term veterinary care partner for your dog or cat. Our care teams can help with everyday questions, preventive care, unexpected illnesses and injuries, ongoing health conditions, and the changing needs that come with every stage of your pet's life.
