Would this work well on feline chin acne?
Answer by ChewyJan 12, 2018
This product would help with feline chin acne.

Would this be safe to use on puncture wounds on a dog? Ones that are not severe enough for stitches?
Answer by ChewyJun 27, 2018
This product is a great treatment for a deep cut or tear in the skin.

Vetericyn ingredients contain NaCl, and NaCOL. These are salts, how are those non irritating to a pet's (and human's)wound?
Answer by ChewyApr 07, 2019
Vetericyn Plus wound, skin, eye, and ear products are built on a technology platform that contains super-oxidized hypochlorous (HOCl) solution. HOCl is used for cleansing, irrigating, debriding, and moisturizing wounds and is quickly becoming the new standard of care for chronic wounds in human and animal health. The hypochlorous molecule is naturally produced by the body’s white blood cells. Because the HOCl molecule is pH neutral and has a similar safety profile to saline, it doesn’t damage healthy tissue the way traditional wound cleansers can. This is also the reason it doesn’t sting or burn when applied to wounds or irritations and why it’s safe to use around the eyes, ears, and mouth.

Would this be useful for a small yeast infection on the top of my dogs paws?
Answer by ChewyDec 16, 2019
This is a wound and skin care treatment for cuts, lacerations, abrasions, sores, and skin irritations and may helps with the itching but will not treat the yeast infection.

Helpful with small wounds

My dog goes crazy outside and sometimes gets some scratches on his skin or paws, we use this spray to keep those small abrasions clean and they are gone within a day or so. It does not smell or make his fur sticky or anything like that. My dog also does not mind when I spray it on him. It is a good thing to have at home to be prepared, would buy again.

Great stuff but only the gel!

I love this stuff, I have horses and wouldn’t be without it in my locker. That being said as a chewy autoship customer and long time buyer I saw it on here and since I was getting low I was happy to put it on with my regular purchases. Opened it yesterday and found out I didn’t order the “hydrogel” which is really a deal breaker for me. Not chewys fault but vetericyn really needs to do something about the labeling between the spray and the hydrogel. They are very different in terms of application. The gel is much better at sticking to a wound or cut whereas the spray goes all over and runs down leg cuts which is a common boo boo area. If I had only read the label closer I would have sent it back for the gel. I only found out when I actually went to use it and was like oh jeez ugh. Good stuff but always get the gel!

Works great!

My Veternarian prescribed this spray for my female Sheltie. It works great. Her fur is so thick, including under her tail, that a few times the skin has gotten red, then turned into an infection. I clean her private area often, and spray this product there, and it has kept her free from any problems. Happy and healthy Sheltie!

Cabinet Necessity for Outdoor Pets

This has been a godsend when it comes to skin rashes or injuries. My family has a dog with a summer grass allergy and he ends up excessively licking his skin because of it. Not only does this prevent him from licking, but it helps heal his rashes within 48 hours. We also have an indoor/outdoor cat. I wish he didn't go outside, but that's a discussion for another time. Sometimes he comes in with battle scars, and these usually happen on Saturday nights, and of course our vet is closed on Sundays. This does an INCREDIBLE JOB with keeping wounds from getting infected. This isn't going to replace a trip to the vet, but if you need to keep an open wound at bay while you wait for an appointment, you need this.

Love this product!

Vetricyn spray gel is a must have for a busy horse barn. Easy to apply, stays where it is needed and heals wounds wonderfully. Strongly recommend!

Great Product

Great Product, we have rescued many critters in need of care, after bathing a dog or cat that had mites or fleas and using a fleas and tic ointment we used Vetericyn on the infected or inflamed area twice daily for two weeks , careful to dab area with a cotton ball if it was near the eyes and spray other areas. Hair returned to the area and pet was relieved of terrible itching.

Great stuff

My collie had an allergy to something outside -- used this and it helped clear it up -- he is now itching but it is helping with that issue too.

Great product

I was very disappointed! They sent me a bottle with no trigger. It was broken and leaked out all over the box.

Works Incredibly Well

I always like to have wound care products on hand as I foster cats and dogs. I have tried quite a few and this one far exceeded my expectations. As a vet tech, I am really picky about what I use and I cannot recommend this enough. My cats hotspot healed twice as fast as it normally would when I used this. There is virtually no scent, which is a huge bonus, and it's so easy to use. Great product!

this stuff is amazing

My cat had over groomed for some reason and lost a ton of hair off her back side. I started spraying this on every day and her hair started growing back.
