my poor little cat had a scratched cornea. I am a nurse, so I knew that ophthalmic ointment (my prescription) could be used on her eyes when they look irritated. The ointment is very quick healing, and usually only takes one dose to help her eyes. But I was out of the ointment, and it takes a prescription from a vet or a dr. to get it. I was looking at something else on Chewy and saw this gel. Even though it's not as strong as the ointment, I only used it 3 days and her eye was so much better.
This gel really worked quickly and cleared up my Toy Yorkie's eye infection. I used it twice a day with the Eye Wash and she was back to her old self within a week.
coming from someone in the veterinary industry, this is pretty good for any type of common cut on or near the eye. i would not recommend for infection since it has no antibacterial ingredients. my piggie had hay poke in her eye and this cleared most of it up in one day! her eye was very swollen and pus filled and red before and after one day of using it she only has some crust and no more fogging of the eye where the cut was!
This product work very well on our 15 year old toy poodle and as always Chewy is reasonably priced and always extremely fast shipping!
My dog has had allergies all of her life which are very bad. I have been using a different prescription form of eye drops, but they have become so expensive. I found this product and since I have used the hot spot spray for sores on her I thought this product was worth the try. I was very wrong. In 24 hours after her first dose, her eyes were nearly swollen shut, running, and I was in a panic. I am not saying they do not work, just that they did not work for my pup. Use caution.
I decided to give this a try for my dog's allergies but it did not work for her. It actually made her eyes worse.
My dog returned from boarding when we were on vacation with a minor eye infection. He had a little bit of puss, but since it didn't seem to be bothering him too bad I figured I would try this before a trip to the vet. I generally don't have good results with these types of products but this one worked great! It cleared up all signs of an eye infection in just a few days. Maybe it was his immune system, or maybe it was this. Either way I'm keeping this on hand at all times in case this happens again, as my doggo gets boarded a few times a year. 🐶
Product does not work. Complete waste of money. Need to go to the vet anyway. This is why I don't order from Chewy.
Worked great for my Maltese’s eye infection. Applied right on exterior of eye between lids with a q-tip.
Our dog has some irritation to one eye caused by eyelashes growing inward. I use the gel once a day and it seems to help. I shake the bottle pretty hard right before using and it seems to help liquify it some.
