Does the aluminum tube have a lining and is it BPA free?

Answer by DawnJun 08, 2025
There is no indication on the packaging whether the aluminum tube has a lining or whether it is BPA free. You will probably need to contact the manufacturer directly to find out this information.

Is there a expiration date or shelf life time?

Answer by DianaJun 22, 2025
Yes. The box the paste came in has an Expire month and date. Right under Lot number. I bought this roughly a year plus ago. Expires in 2026.

Can I apply it directly or put it in food?

Is this okay for a kitten to use? How old?

My vet gave us a small sample of this toothpaste, and it went better than I expected. My cat LOVES toothbrush time, he’s recognized the sound of the toothpaste tube inside the box when I shake it, he loves the flavor, and while he’s a bit skittish with getting a toothbrush all the way into his mouth, he’s let me brush the front, his tongue, etc. he really likes the flavor and probably thinks it’s another snack. We were already giving him dental greenie snacks twice a day, but this had elevated his oral health. His breath doesn’t seem to stink as much (it was minimal) and his teeth continue to look healthy. We bought this as part of his preventative oral health and it’s worth the $$$

Excellent toothpaste! Sundance made the choice for the VIRBAC Poultry Flavor

This is the only toothpaste I would use for my Golden Retriever and after trying several others Sundance made his choice for this one. He loves the VIRBAC poultry

This is the only toothpaste I would use for my Golden Retriever and after trying several others Sundance made his choice for this one. He loves the VIRBAC poultry flavor. I have been brushing his teeth since he turned 6 months old and he is now turning 9. He comes running to the sink when I say “Time to brush your teeth”! My vet is amazed at how clean his teeth are. It is a commitment but well worth the outcome. Clean breath and clean teeth and a healthy boy!

Was excited to try it but

My dog hates it. And I don’t mean she isn’t interested in it. I mean she’s actively repulsed by it. She takes one whiff and her entire nose crinkles up and she backs

My dog hates it. And I don’t mean she isn’t interested in it. I mean she’s actively repulsed by it. She takes one whiff and her entire nose crinkles up and she backs away. I dont know if I should try another flavor or if this just isn’t the right toothpaste for her. I can’t smell what she’s picking up but it’s safe to say there no way she’s letting me near her mouth with this stuff lol oh well..

I was never able to brush my dog’s teeth until discovering this product. she loves the flavor so much that it allows me to get in there with a toothbrush. She used to run and hide and now she tries to lick the toothbrush. Shes very picky too when it comes to treats so approved by picky dogs! Previously I tried the standard arm and hammer toothpaste. My vet recommended this one and now I can more easily brush her teeth.

I brushed my mini schnauzer’s teeth almost every night of her life nd our vet was amazed at her teeth and she never needed a professional vet cleaning. She lived to 16 years. We now have a new mini and I will also brush her teeth every night. BTW, the breeder recommends using an electric tooth brush so I am getting her used to that and a brush also!

The only toothpaste, my dogs will let me use

I have been trying for months now to get my dogs to let me brush their teeth. I was using a mint flavored gel toothpaste, and they did not like it so I have switched

I have been trying for months now to get my dogs to let me brush their teeth. I was using a mint flavored gel toothpaste, and they did not like it so I have switched over to this poultry, flavored toothpaste which mydog absolutely love and now they let me brush their teeth. I don’t seem to get a complete brushing in because their tongue is going all the timetrying to lick off the brush, but at least it’s something.

Transforming my dogs teeth!

My dog came to me with a good amount of plaque when she was adopted so I have been regularly brushing her teeth and giving her dental treats. After 3 years I thought a cleaning was in her future. Since I have been using this tooth paste the buildup has been coming off so rapidly! I brush her teeth about and hour before she gets her dental treat so the enzymes can do their thing. I think I just saved some real $$$ just by switching her tooth paste.

Pet Toothpaste

We tried this product on Molly and she loved it. She gets her teeth brushed every night before bed and looks forward to it now. Chicken is one of her favorite

We tried this product on Molly and she loved it. She gets her teeth brushed every night before bed and looks forward to it now. Chicken is one of her favorite foods so this works better for us. She has not had to have her teeth cleaned once by our vet and we have been doing this for 10 years. I highly recommend this product and a steady routine of using it daily for the best results.

My Cat Thinks This Toothpaste is a Treat!

During my cat's annual health exam this year, my vet noted that she was beginning to develop slight gingivitis around her back teeth. Not wanting the issue to worsen

During my cat's annual health exam this year, my vet noted that she was beginning to develop slight gingivitis around her back teeth. Not wanting the issue to worsen and progress into periodontitis or stomatitis, I headed to the pet store to pick up an enzymatic toothpaste at my vet's recommendation. I was pleased to see that this brand was approved for use in both dogs and cats, and it came in a flavor that my cat would likely be receptive to. While my cat isn't super keen on the act of brushing itself, she loves this toothpaste and views it as an exciting treat! While I need to be more diligent overall with maintaining her oral care routine, I definitely can tell a difference in the smell of her breath when I am brushing her teeth regularly. I haven't taken a super close look at her gums to see if the redness and inflammation have gone down, but I am eager to hear feedback from my vet at her next annual appointment.

An absolute teeth saver

15 years ago I adopted a one year old apple head Siamese from a rescue, along with a 4 month old hoarder rescue. At just 1 Max had horrid periodontal disease, unfortunately common with Siamese and their ‘cousins’. I was told that total tooth lose with Siamese was rather common as they aged. After a full cleaning I started using the toothpaste daily. At 16 years old, max has perfect teeth and gums, and so does his 15 year old ‘sister’. Using a small cone shaped brush, just please the paste at the rear of the mouth on both sides daily. It really works, and as a plus can save a lot of money over the years avoiding dental care at your vet.
