So this blend is not a hit with my backyardigans. I swear my make believe pets are as bad as my kids were with picky eating habits. They eat what they want then leave the rest so I have to toss what’s left. So this is not a go with my four legged kids so won’t be purchasing this blend again. Thank you for asking my opinion.
I put out some of this backyard food every morning in a raised garden. The birds & squirrels love it! It especially attracts blue jays. I get a real kick out of watching the squirrels-they’ve actually gotten fat from eating it!
Being home bound now living near small woods and lake in the city I have wonderful animals coming to my patio to get Chewy food. They are so much fun to watch. Chewy delivers to my door. Wonderful. I see and feed squirrels, chipmunks, red squirrels, mallard ducks and many different birds. They all share.
Reasonably Priced Squirrel Food
This food is very reasonably priced, and our squirrels are very happy with it. The field corn is the least popular item for them, so they often drop it onto the ground, but then they clean it up when the rest of the food is gone. Sometimes some deer will come by and help them finish the corn and sometimes the deer will tip the feeder so some of the food spills out onto the ground where they can get at it more easily. We're very pleased with this food and will continue to order it.
I love watching and feeding the squirrels that visit my backyard. Wagoner’s Backyard food is what they seem to like best. Chewy is where I can find it at a reasonable price. I LOVE Chewy. I also buy cat food, litter and dog treats. Shipping is fast and prices are great!
GREAT product...first batch I put in the feed tray barely lasted 2 days!...crows like it too!
Only mix my squirrel will eat
I have tried several different blends and mixes, but I end up feeding it to the birds and animals outside. I end up ordering Wagners. Our little Dude love’s Wagner’s seed mix.
Not a good mix for squirrels
I bought this for backyard squirrels hoping to keep them away from our bird feeder. This mix is more than half dried corn kernels by volume and our squirrels will not touch the corn. In addition, when I researched a little more I discovered that corn has no nutritional value for squirrels. And that peanuts and sunflower seeds should only be fed to them very sparingly. So this entire mix is essentially a non-starter for squirrels. I have since ordered some tree nuts (all in the shell) to give the squirrels a purpose in life, and am looking forward to watching them gnaw and bury them. I'll give them the peanuts and sunflower seeds from this mix occasionally as a treat until it's gone, but won't buy it again. It's possible that this mix is good for other critters, but probably not for any that I want in my small city backyard. :)
Squirrels love this food, wait in the morning for their food.
I guess this product is ok
This product I use to feed outside squirrels Chipmunks and birds, they like it okay but I wish there was less corn in it they tend to leave that behind.
