Feeding Instructions

Birds need food year-round, so it is best to keep bird feeders full all year or else the birds will leave. Birds have a high metabolism and need to continually eat. Birds nest from late winter through late summer and during these months there is not an abundance of natural foods, so they need additional food for breeding and raising their young. From early fall through the winter, natural food sources become harder to find so it is important to keep feeders full with bird seed during this time. You can enjoy your birds 12 months of the year.

    My Chickens Love These Mealworms

By Sasha on Dec 7, 2020

Every time I bring out the bag of mealworms, I give it a shake, and my pet chickens come running. They're so excited to eat their favorite treat, the pile I give them is gone in no time. I definitely recommend giving this to chickens as a treat or when you need to lead them to their coop in a hurry.

By justmo on Jan 4, 2021

No bluebirds, I probably have to wait for spring for them but the starlings and squirrels love the mealworms. Will buy again in the spring

    Quick and Quality

By Zoozyq on Nov 28, 2020

Happy with this order—just what I’ve learned to expect from Chewy, and no need to expose myself to COVID looking for it locally!

    Meal worms!

By Cindybecker on Aug 10, 2020

The birds seem to like it. Easy to feed, not messy. It's not easy to come up with 50 characters. I'm a person of few words. All I can say is the birds like the mealworms.

    A Hit With Everyone

By Jacki on Jul 8, 2020

All of the birds love the mix when it is blended with sunflower seeds & fruit with nuts. There is a lot of activity at the feeder all day.

    Bluebirds!

By FenwayGillette on Mar 28, 2020

Great for attracting bluebirds. Other small birds like them as well but you really need mealworms to attract bluebirds.

    I never rated worms before!

By MagicMo on Mar 21, 2020

These worms are plump, whole, not broken, and dry. And the squirrels and birds love them.
