Bag full of dust?
This is the second time I buy this brand (1st time Senior) where midway throuhh the bag each scoop contains a ton of dust/crumbs. I can see crumbs at the bottom of the back but not throughout the bag.
Wellness for seniors
I'm very happy with the dog food. All my dogs love it and gobble it down plus their stool are firm.
not so much
We have tried this product twice for my old hound, love the ingredients but it is not well received. Regretfully, will have to try something else.
12 year old high energy dog loves this food!
I switched to this dog food by happenchance. Ran out of the food my elderly dog used to eat Naturals for elder dogs (which he didn't like) so visited a pet store, bought this and I mixed it with my younger dog's food that he loves, concerned that he might not accept this new food as I mixed the other's dog food with the former. He LOVES this food. No issues with coercing him to eat (no longer do I have to add rice, eggs, broth, etc.)
Not as tasty as regular kibble
I recently changed my senior dog to Wellness senior dog kibble. He really liked the regular Wellness dog kibble. He does not like the senior dog kibble. Light in color and funny smell.
Our Senior Pups LOVE it!
Our two senior pups LOVE this food. The kibble size is perfect for our biggest pit to our smallest Chiweenie. We swapped from Hills Science, for no other reason than I wanted them to have a food with more variety of ingredients. The swap was easy on them. They are both going on 9 years old and I feel like this food brought our pit more energy and healthier skin. My only complaint is that the bags aren’t resealable, but I just ordered some airtight containers to solve that. Chewy has amazing customer service. We had an auto ship order that was delivered… to who we don’t know. I contacted Chewy and they shipped my order again. Our pets say, “Thanks a bunch!”
Wellness dog food not good.
I have been purchasing your Wellness for senior dogs for several years. The last batch was a much darker color and caused my dog to have very runny bowel movements. I wound up having to toss a nearly full bag. I would like a credit to my account or a cash refund. You might also check other bags are somehow contaminated. The food was very dark in color and is usually a light brown.
Not a good quality diet
I generally love Wellness and have my younger pup with tummy issues on the digestive health with no problems. However, this diet is very poor quality so I'm a bit disappointed with Wellness - especially for a diet specially formulated for seniors who need extra nutritional support in these years. To start, this review has nothing to do with Chewy, only the diet itself! My golden doesn't like it and he is not a picky eater whatsoever. I have to put a spoonful of wet food on it to get him to eat it. Second, this diet makes him poop frequently and urgently. Even if going out in the middle of the night, he will still wake me up at 5am to go out again. I've been in the veterinary field for some time, and confirmed with my doctor that this is typically a sign of poor quality food. He's on probiotics and fiber regularly apart from this food, and it only began once I made the switch. Needless to say, I will have to make yet another switch to a different food to give him the nutritional support he needs for his older years.
Wellness food
My dogs love this food! It has all the nutrients and ingredients that are healthy for dogs. The price was just write, I would definitely recommend this premium dog food for other owners who have dogs.
Wellness Complete Senior
Buddy 10.5 yrs old Chihuahua is an over weight Senior dog that’s was a picky eater. So glad we tried out Wellness Complete Senior dry dog food. He’s well on his way too losing the extra pounds. Buddy lost almost 2 lbs. in 2 weeks. All of us our so proud of him. Thank you Chewy for assisting me in selecting the right good for him. We hope you enjoy some of his photos.
