Was good, now not so good
Our kitties love thus brand and flavor, and we love that it has what it says in it on the can (ie no chicken when it's a fish flavor). Its whole fish chunks so some pin bones make it in, and usually its nir a problem. But lately ther have been SO many more that I can't find them all, and our cats keep puking it up right after eating it. They are fine otherwise, so that's been our conclusion. We're not buying it again until the product is more filtered, just in case.
picky cat loves this
I have a picky kitty who is purely a tuna man. He loves this! This has mackerel which is a related fish, plus it has some broth when you open a fresh can that my cat is obsessed with. My vet recommended this to be for being low-carb.
Disappointing.
Our newest rescue loves the Weruva paw lickin variety pack but seemed to be getting bored. I thought I would mix it up with a few of the fish flavors. Stella isn't really picky and she did eat this one up. What I found alarming was the amount of fish bones left in her bowl when she was done. There were some that were over an inch long! I'm always concerned with fish and bones that I might miss, so this one is officially off her menu. I think I'll just stick to the chicken flavors and add some pate for a different texture.
A big hit for my 4 Devons
My vet suggested a chicken free diet due to some issues with one of my boys and I am really glad that I tried Weruva. All 4 of them are fairly picky and surprisingly they have loved all of the Weruva flavors we have tried but they adore the Luau kind especially.
Looks Amazing For Your Cat
I do have to mush up the pumpkin because they will eat all the way around each tiny piece but I know it is good for them to have to so I mush it into the fish and they have no choice to eat it all up!
Appreciated by most of my clowder
I like the idea that his food includes pumpkin bits and pieces of fish, and that the fish is mackerel (lower in the food chain ergo maybe healthier.) I wish there was a little less gravy, but my cats lick their bowls clean so they are not complaining.
Pickiest eater loves it
My cat hates almost every cat food I try but this is his favorite. Finally something he actually eats!
Poor quality relative to local store
Hi, the quality of the canned food is noticeably worse from chewy in comparison to our local pet store. I will not be buying this again through Chewy.
My Stray Adores It
Now I’ve had my fair share of wet foods that my picky eater won’t eat and so they go to the strays I feed. Usually the strays are also finicky (and I don’t help by catering to their picky palettes) but this was a hit! I have two strays that always come to eat, my regulars I call them, and while the female is picky with her wet food and prefers kibble, the other cat devours wet food quickly. And this wet food was no exception, in fact I think he prefers this one way more than the others I’ve tried. While he loves it, I’m no fan of the smell. Not big on the fishy smell and boy does this food aromatize the whole space. I feed this outside in the open air and the smell lingers. I much prefer the Chicken flavored I’ve purchased from Weruva. I won’t purchase this again, simply because the smell gets to me, but it’ll for sure be my go to if I can’t buy the chicken one since my stray loves it so much.
Not one cat would touch it.
All six of my cats smelled it and walked away. I tried 3 times and then gave up. Will donate. I thought they would love it.
