Weruva Wx Phos Focused
This low-phosphorous food is all natural and free of ingredients like powdered cellulose, fillers and carbohydrates that can superficially lower phosphorous percentages. Weruva Wx contains up to 50% less phosphorus than AAFCO’s minimum levels.
Weruva’s Lowest Phosphorous Foods
The Weruva Wx formula has low levels of phosphorous without sacrificing protein content or quality. It offers highly bioavailable proteins for optimal digestion and good amino acid absorption to help maintain muscle mass.
Why Seek Lower Phosphorous Formulas?
As kidney health declines, the kidneys may no longer filter blood efficiently, and phosphorous may enter the blood stream. This can make cats feel unwell, become lethargic or experience appetite loss. The situation can become a vicious cycle as excess phosphorous in the blood further impairs the kidneys. A diet with lower phosphorous, although it will not cure kidney issues, can help minimize these other ailments.

My older kitty with a kidney condition loves this. It's been very hit and miss trying different low phosphorous, non prescription foods, this one's a winner. It's perfect the amount of wetness so I don't need to add water which likely dilutes the flavor of other canned food I have tried.
Delish - Mostly!
Weruva is high quality food so it was easy to get her to try it. She's a cat, though, so she didn't stay on it. I can pepper it in but I have to continue giving her old brand also. Not ideal for a cat with kidney issues but at 18 she's allowed to have an opinion on her diet, I suppose. :)
Picky girl loves it!
Has been a difficult search to find alternatives to the prescription kidney food that my girl turns her nose up to. But, she is loving this. Ordering additional flavors next time. Fingers crossed!

I've been struggling to find low phosphorus food suitable for Katie, my kitty with CKD. She poo poo'd science diet CKD food. She eats Royal Canin T variety, somewhat reluctantly. I found a recommendation for Weuva WX online and tried the variety pack. She isn't keen on the puree varieties but she loves both gravy varieties. Two thumbs up from Katie.
super skinny toothless senior loves this
This (and the low phos shreds with chicken) is the only food my super skinny, toothless, 16 year old cat will eat. He’s not even on a low phos diet— I ordered this on a whim and he loved it. I supplement with a vitamin. I’ve tried countless brand and flavors, and this is the only food he will eat. He frequently asks for more after eating the entire bowl, which is shocking. Please never stop making this. And please don’t change the recipe/formula lol.

My picky boy loves this Wx food. It is a thick gravy with the chicken, and I find an empty bowl after his feeding. A hit!
perfect for my foodie cat
My cat friend loves to eat. She will only eat food with gravy, she loves the natural taste of meat as she was a wild cat before she chose me. Now years later early stages of renal issues the vet rec. the prescription food but that food contained way to much junk so I am glad to have found this food. my cat begs for food she hated to have an empty bowl if it is empty she gets anxiety. she wont eat it all all the time she leaves some in the bowl for later, but as soon as empty she freaks out. so i give her as much of this food as she wants and supplement this food with another food made by lotus that has vegetables in it for vitamins. I also give her a vitamin supplement made by nutra thrive. WERUVA makes it possible to afford the cleanest diet available on the market. I love it my cat loves it, i also get her the weruva chicken and liver which is similar the phos line same chicken and gravy bigger can and with liver!!!!!!!
Low Phosphorous Cat Food
When my cat Peeka was diagnosed w Renal disease I immediately switched over to vet prescribed cat food. The vet food is expensive so I was looking for a low level phosphorous cat food to supplement Peeka's diet. That's when I discovered the Weruva brand -- it lists phosphorous levels on their label and is a quality brand. Recently Weruva introduced their Wx line that's lowest in phosphorous. It's less expensive than vet prescribed foods and picky Peeka loves the food. Just know that this food is considered a supplement, it won't cover all bases of nutrients that the vet food addresses.
Gravy Is The Key
This low phosphorus food with gravy is one that Minnie Mouse will eat. We tried the pate style and she would not eat it unless I disguised it with some other food. For Minnie, the gravy made all the difference.
Tasty per Molly
My cat likes this as much as the WX chicken, however, I just wish this was another flavor other than fish because fish isn't good for cats. She is a super picky eater and 12 years old, hence, I'm grateful the phos is low. I mix in some of her freeze dried raw. Also, several of the cans arrived dented, I hate to ask for more packaging, however, I'd appreciate more paper packaging bulk in my order next time please, I don't like dented cans, thank you.
