Weruva Wx Phos Focused

The Weruva Wx formula has low levels of phosphorous without sacrificing protein content or quality. It offers highly bioavailable proteins for optimal digestion and good amino acid absorption to help maintain muscle mass.

Why Seek Lower Phosphorous Formulas?

As kidney health declines, the kidneys filter blood less efficiently, and phosphorous may enter the blood stream, creating new health issues. A diet with lower phosphorous, although it will not cure kidney issues, can help minimize these other ailments.

The Chicken in Gravy recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.078% on an as fed basis (0.42% on a dry matter basis). The Chicken & Tilapia recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.053% on an as fed basis (0.28% on a dry matter basis). The Tilapia & Chicken recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.053% on an as fed basis (0.28% on a dry matter basis). The Tilapia & Tuna recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.058% on an as fed basis (0.32% on a dry matter basis).

So frustrating when one will do anything to find a food for your cat with special dietary needs, and they won't have anything to do with it.

LOVE that we can purchase this as a little sample pack!! I hate only having the option of a huge case of one flavor or variety. This pack is awesome because once I figured out her favorites I can still use this pack to rotate the flavors. My girl is in renal failure and no longer eating the prescription food unfortunately. She doesn't like the same flavor multiple times a day. If it wasn't for packs like this I would have to constantly be buying 4 or more cases of food all the time, which is so expensive.

My ckd cat was starting to not eat. I tried her renal food, nope. She was eating fancy feast however it was too high in phosphorus and protien. I gave this one a shot after my vet reccomended it as the second best option to her renal food. The protien content is a little higher, but it's a trade off to her not eating anything. The ingredient quality is also good. For now, this works.

My cats LOVE weruva. It is my favorite cat food company for every reason: quality ingredients, excellent value, family owned. I also love that they are trying to offer a low phosphorus food. 2 stars for that. However, not a single one of my or my sister’s cats will touch this. We tried to divert the rejects to her feral barn cats, who eat everything, and it’s the one product they also refused to touch. This is a great concept, but it isn’t palatable in its current formulation.
