I still don't understand why the shower head shut off is necessary since it's the diverter on the tub spout that prevents water from coming out of the shower head. I have a leak occurring somewhere between the tub spout and the shower head and was hoping to use your product as a temporary solution.

Is it easy to install the shower head shut off valve?

The shut-off valve is screwed on where the shower head is. An instructional video website link and the manual link are available on the "Instructions" tab, just under the product photos.

My tub spout is 3 inches…will the wash kit fit?

This kit will fit a spout mouth with a width of up to 2 inches. 

Why is the shower shut off valve necessary since the water is coming from the tub spout.

The valve must be in the OFF position (90⁰ or perpendicular to pipe) to stop the flow of water to your shower head which will allow the kit to function properly.

We got this to bathe our two Cardigan Welsh corgis at home to save money. It has great water pressure- the strong spray gets right down to the skin on our little hairy beasties! The slide switch on the side of the sprayer is very helpful with turning the water off and on as needed. We do have to use the sheet of thick plastic over our tub spout to contain errant spray, but this doesn’t seem to effect the pressure of the spray, and it keeps the water contained to the tub. This is a really great product and we’re so glad we gave it a try!

If I raise the nozzle above the faucet, as I would to actually wash my dog, the water just flows out the back of the fitting on the faucet. The "seal" at the faucet doesn't seal to provide any pressure. It's just water being directed down the hose through a hole.

This supplier went the extra mile to make sure their customer was taken care of by making everything so clear and simple. The sprayer has wonderful pressure and the convenience of being able to hang it on the wall and turn it off on the sprayer is wonderful. I also like that it doesn't interfere with the regular shower head at all. they included a foam shampoo sample that I was not impressed with but... Do not hesitate to spend the extra money on this sprayer. You will not be disappointed!

I started looking for something like this couple of years ago tried other products and nothing worked, so I gave up. Just when I started thinking maybe I should change my spout and add another handheld shower head (which would’ve be a more costly solution) I found this on chewy, first I was skeptical until I saw the video, they started with the most important thing - what kind of spout set up will work, so I said to myself if it doesn’t work I’ll just return it. And it worked!! This adds so much convenience to me and my dog! Thank you for inventing this and execute it really well!!

The only thing I'm disappointed in, and this is a suggestion to revise the product in the future, is that there is no way to slow the water flow for a smaller dog. I have a CavaShon and while I managed to get him bathed, the pressure at full was way too much. I toggled the on/off "switch" to manage the flow but it was not easy as it wanted to be either on all the way or off. Other than that, I highly recommend this product. My sister has 2 pit bulls so I'm just going to give it to her as I think she will love it.

We tried the rubber slip on product and it just ballooned up. We returned it and got this. It is fantastic. The install is slightly more complicated but it literally took 3 minutes to figure it out. The only caveat is this will only fit certain size and types of bathtub spouts. Definitely measure your tub spout before purchasing. It fit out downstairs tub (where we plan to do the dog washing) it did not fit our upstairs tub spouts.
