Geez, pet ownership truly has its ups, and downs. Trying to make feeding time a bit more organized and manageable so I tried this "unipet" food, and all of them said no to this one. Now I have excess cans, noone will eat. There is nothing wrong about this food, no gross smell of anything. I think my pets just are more used to shredded foods. They are liking the "FirstMate brand, and although it doesnt specify cat or dog, it is the same ingrediants, lol..!!
I have been attempting to switch my cat family to this high quality food on the recommendation of my son who feeds it to his cats and ferrets. Not all four like it, even when mixed with their old food and/or kibble. I don't know if I will try another flavor or continue my search for a better food with another brand. Cats are of course known to be finicky.
Found this canned food after weeks of research. Best food I can find for my fur kids. The only downside is that Chewy cannot keep it in stock. Wondering that it might get discontinued.
Dear manufacturer why? Why the need to change the formula? Not for the better I am afraid. After being out of stock for so long I was excited to see it back. I opened the can and notice the color and texture difference right away. Scent as well. My carpet sharks (ferrets) took a liking to this food in my quest to find them the best and the closest to limited ingredient diet as possible. Ever since this my ferrets have different stool, diarrhea like. Nothing changed in their diet. It’s a mess to clean them and their cage up. Also one of my picky eaters isn’t a fan of it. I struggle as it is with his food intake. Another issue to worry about now. Wysong is the better option for ferret food but I am afraid changing the chicken formula in your canned food was a major miss!
I'm really happy that Chewy sells Wysong products. My dogs love the taste. Wysongs commitment to healthy dog food. And it is at a great price point.
I have 9 house cats and 2 of them are very picky. Since I found this food all of my cats scarf it down, and I feel great about the ingredients in the food. This stuff is a can’t miss. Sometimes I think my cats eat better than I do!
Great for nutrition and for getting picky eaters to the bowl. This is superior to other pet can food. I use it mixed with dry kibble for my puppies and pregnant moms. We always have healthy babies!
Wysong products are the best. When you first open one of their cans, you'll instantly be able to tell the quality. The food really smells good.
The first order I received contained damaged cans and I disposed of them. After inspecting the remaining cans to ensure they were intact, I tried this food with my 3 dogs - they liked it and tolerated it well. However, the next order of 2 cases also contained 3 damaged cans in each case, which is pretty disappointing. The first order I overlooked because mistakes happen. However, to have all 3 cases have 3 cans that were unusable is a quality issue. The quality control at some point in the supply chain is definitely lacking and requires improvement. Whether this is a reflection on Chewy, I can’t say, but I won’t be ordering Epigen canned food from Chewy again.
I have a cat that eats anything, not this. Maybe more for the WOOFs.
