The Powersun bulb would work great for a Russian tortoise. Please make sure to have a thermometer in the tank and monitor the temperature you are getting, so you can adjust accordingly.

Good Temp Bulb

Firstly, those saying it doesn’t work after unplug and replug are only half correct. The bulb will not turn back on until it cools off a bit. Wait a few minutes

Firstly, those saying it doesn’t work after unplug and replug are only half correct. The bulb will not turn back on until it cools off a bit. Wait a few minutes and try again. Secondly, this bulb should be fine for starting out but you should really try and get a proper UVB light that covers the whole enclosure and some heat lamps to focus the basking spot

Too hot

Raised the surface temps 30 degrees. Way too hot and my beardie always moved away from this light. Might work if it’s real cold out but not right now for my 80
