Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

No longer effective

I've used this for the last couple of years with my cats. It's seemed to work until recently. I've purchased 2 different boxes from separate retailers to make sure it wasn't just a bad batch, with no luck. I treated my cats at the first sign of fleas and continued with monthly doses for the last 2 months. The problem has only continued to get worse!! We went from a couple pesky fleas to a full blown infestation despite treatment! We're stuck treating every room in the house, vacuuming multiple times a day, steaming the carpets and washing every piece of bedding. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Not effective anymore

I’ve purchased two boxes of this for my cat. (And two other dogs and a small kitten!). In the past, we’ve used Advantage on our animals and it’s always worked. But, after two boxes used this Spring/Summer - now. We are still dealing with fleas!! It’s safe to say, the efficacy is no longer there for Advantage. I’m not sure if they changed their formula or what. It’s expensive and doesn’t work. Save your money and try something else! Lesson learned.

Doesn't Work!

Have been battling fleas using Advantage for 5 months without success. After talking to my vet I was told most fleas are becoming immune to the active ingredients in Advantage, making it much less affective. Switched to a product with the active ingredient as Selamectin and fleas are officially eradicated 2 weeks later. Although selamectin is rx only, it's definitely worth it and is typically cheaper! Don't waste your time and money on Advantage.

10/10 product

My cat had a flea infestation, causing a whole rash of scabbies all over her fur. She even scratched/pulled off a lot of hair from the flea allergy she got. After the second dose of this advantage II on the 3rd week I instantly saw progress. Her hair is growing back fast and strong. I highly recommend this

Cats and Fleas

For my cats, Advantage II has worked quicker then other flea products that i have tried. I like that they are now making it for different sizes of cats. There is one for Kittens, then Small Cats which is 5 to 9 pounds and Large Cats which is Over 9 pounds. I have several cats so I have a variety of sizes from Sugar who is 4 years old and weighs 5 pounds to Billy who is part Maine Coon who weighs 20 pounds. The Advantage II for fleas works very well for all of my Cats.

Fleas on two feral kittens

I bought this in hopes of it working. I’ve tried Frontline Plus, chemical free products, treated the whole house several times, Vacuum every day, etc. But, the fleas are getting impossible to control. We literally have to bathe them in Dawn way too often and find tons along with eggs so it does not work and I’m very disappointed. If anyone can suggest something that works, please tell me. I’m desperate.

Didn't work !

We bought Advantage ll for kittens up to 5lb and it worked, but I recently bought this one for 5-9lbs and I don't get what happened but it seems to have actually created MORE of a flea problem ! On the page it does say that you can reapply after about a week but this product is expensive and should've worked the 1st time ! Not that I have to pay another $40+ to see if another dose will work. The one for little kittens under 5lbs works, this 5-9lb is garbage imo. Now I have to find something else, very annoyed.

Advantage II works!

Can't find any fleas or ticks on the cats or in the house. This is great stuff. Even use it on our 19 year old cat after her Memorial Day stroke this year. That's when I started using Advantage II for our two small, 5-9 Lb. very mature cats.

Go in between flea treatment when you can't afford revolution

Having a lot of rescues sometimes money is tight and I can't keep paying for revolution prescriptions so this is my in between go to treatment to keep ontop of fleas that I trust for my babies. I'm a very paranoid pet parent so wary of what I put on my babies and Advantage is the only one that has proven effective for me personally and safe.

Cat had a reaction

First time using on my cat and About 30 minutes after treatment cat started foaming at the mouth. This happened about 5 times over the next 4 hours. I called the vet and said this can happen sometimes and to keep an eye on her. She seemed like she didn’t feel good the rest of the day. I will not be using this on my cat again in the future.
