Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Why Choose Advantage II?

The first active ingredient kills adult fleas by targeting their nervous system, while the second works as an insect growth regulator that kills flea eggs and larvae.

Is it safe for when the kittens lick themselves or each other?
Answer by ChewySep 01, 2017
The treatment needs time to dry after being applied, once dried it is safe for the kittens to lick each other and themselves.

Can you use advantage for kittens on a ferret?
Answer by ChewyAug 22, 2018
Advantage II for Small Cats 5-9 Pounds was recently approved to be used for ferret flea control. It would be best to use that product with your ferrets instead. Ferrets using Advantage II must be 1 lb or over and be 10 weeks of age or older.

Does this also kill ticks and mites like some of the other products?
Answer by ChewyAug 12, 2021
This highly-effective, veterinarian-recommended treatment is specifically formulated to kill all life stages of fleas on contact.

I am wondering if advantage kittens is safe for rabbits?
Answer by ChewyAug 07, 2019
At this time, there are no rabbit-specific treatments for managing fleas. We recommend consulting with a veterinarian familiar with rabbits regarding the proper topical and environmental treatments.

Works As Good As Seresto

I bought this product when the vet recommended it for my 12 week old kitten because she is intolerant to the material that the Seresto collar is made from. It caused her skin to become a little red and irritated and itchy from the collar and the vet ruled out it wasn’t the active ingredients. My other two cats do well with Seresto and this product has one of the 2 active ingredients as Seresto, Imidacloprid. The few days she was without any flea treatment, she had a few fleas on her that she came into contact with because we had someone come in to our home for a day or two that had a flea problem at their house. Ever since we treated our kitten with the Advantage, there hasn’t been 1 sign of a flea and no scratching as well. It was easy to use also. We made sure we treated the house just in case but reading up on this product, the skin and hair they shed contains the Imidacloprid in it because it’s designed to get into the fatty layer of skin and distribute there and when they do shed, they shed the flea medicine in that skin and hair that get into the carpet and upholstery of your home and it further prevents fleas and flea eggs and flea larvae that way. I’ve been using products from Elanco for a few years now and I am highly satisfied with the results their products produce 100%!! This is one of the most safe and effective methods of treating your kitten for fleas.

Did nothing

I bought this aswe recently rescued a stray kitten, of course covered in fleas, so I thought this was supposed to be a good brand, but nope, fleas ended up spreading to the other cats we have. On top of this not working, packaging was awful, they put this tiny box in with 20lb bag of litter... needless to say that flea med box was destroyed, luckily the meds didn't get damaged, but med ended up not working regardless, just be mindful will packaging small items with heavy. Now off to find a different flea med.

love the product but..

I have used this flea treat for my cats for years and have found chewy to be the best priced out of dozens of stores online and in person. I was pretty disappointed and almost scared with this purchase though when I opened the chewy box and my kitten size treatment was totally opened. The second dose wasn’t even in the package anymore, it was laying in the chewy box. The other three I bought were fine. I’m assuming it was an issue with the manufacturer or whoever packaged it but I have never had this issue with chewy before so it was odd.

Disappointed

I waited a while before posting a review, wanting to be fair and give it time to work. But have to say, with two kittens this didnt work on neither of them sadly. They don't even have much fleas to begin with but this hasn't helped with what they do and doesn't even help as a deterrent. Upsetting for the price. Id look for something else honestly. I know I am.

Worked Quickly and Well

I don't know where Timmy picked up fleas because he's an indoor cat but he was scratching like crazy. I put the Advantage II on him as soon as it arrived and within a few hours he stopped scratching. I don't know how long it'll last but he's never gotten fleas before and probably won't again and now that they're gone, he won't need it to last long.

Advantage Only

I have used other flea products before and some were really expensive. I have always gone back to Advantage and I stay only with Advantage. now. I just recently added kittens to the mix and the Advantage line has also for kittens. Its great and affordable. Very happy and so are my cats.

Didn’t Last Long

Took in 3 stray kittens with a bad flea problem. Treated them with the Advantage treatment for kittens. Had high hopes when within the first week I was finding dead fleas. However, right after the second week, the fleas were back in full form. Very disappointed this didn’t last the full month.

Awesome! Fleas don't stand a chance.

As a cat owner here in Florida, this product is a must. When I used it on Smoky, he showed no ill effects. Kept playing after I put it on him. Fleas no loner bother him....or me.

My cats are ate up with fleas and we religiously give them flea meds. Fleas are terrible this year and our vet said only the pill is working right now.
