Can you use advantage for kittens on a ferret?

Advantage II for Small Cats 5-9 Pounds was recently approved to be used for ferret flea control. It would be best to use that product with your ferrets instead. Ferrets using Advantage II must be 1 lb or over and be 10 weeks of age or older.
Does this also kill ticks and mites like some of the other products?
