American Kennel Club AKC Self-Heating Bolster Cat & Dog Bed, Brown, 22-in

The tag attached to the bed said "high quality and durable construction." That's true for the top part, but NOT for the bottom, which is of very flimsy material. A few months after my dog started using this bed, he flipped it over and started pawing it. Before I realized what he was doing, he had torn a hole in the very flimsy material and was pulling the stuffing out. Why use such a flimsy material for the bottom when the rest of the bed is designed to be pawed without disintegrating? I am very disappointed, especially because the product has the American Kennel Club trademark.

Monkey took about 30 seconds to curl up and start purring in this bed. She did not want to share with her sister Banjo. So I got a second one!

I bought the AKC Self-Heating Bolster Bed for my 13 year old ShihTzu to help keep him warm as he sleeps at night. He LOVES it! He has mild arthritis in his lower back and I thought the warmth would help with his stiffness and it does seem to help him! He loves the bed so much that he also takes his naps during the day in it too. Once my little guys gets in the bed, it warms up very quickly! This bed is pretty awesome and I definitely recommend it! I will say that the bottom cushion has a little crackling sound to it when my fur baby steps into it but, the sound doesn’t bother him and therefore it doesn’t bother me. It’s part of the self-warming technology.

Bought Apr '24. size M sale $27 AKC bolster bed for my 11yr/12lb Morkie. Added 4pics: bed not packaged well, no plastic wrapping, just thrown in the box! Paper stuffed in bed, fur looked used and finally my lil girl, who ran & jumped in another Chewy bed, sniffed and ignored entirely! Surprised AKC. However "Gail" in customer service was great! Im honest..choose another bed folks!
