Description

With the Aqueon Siphon Vacuum with Priming Bulb Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, performing quick water changes is super easy. This useful siphon efficiently separates debris from gravel for convenient cleaning. A simple pump of the priming bulb quickly primes the hose to start water flow. Just the right amount of suction is applied to lift and agitate the gravel. Debris is effectively separated, pulled away with the flowing water and disposed of while the gravel falls back down to the aquarium floor. Changing the water and removing debris from gravel is part of necessary maintenance for a healthy and balanced aquarium.

Key Benefits
  • Includes a convenient priming bulb to help start water flow.
  • Includes 6-foot flexible hose, hose clip, intake tube and priming bulb pump
  • Helps maintain a natural balance in the aquarium environment.
  • Efficiently cleans debris from gravel for a pristine habitat.
  • Large enough for aquariums that range 15-55 gallons.
Precautions

For Glass Aquariums Only. Do not us on acrylic, plexiglass, or any surface other than glass. Do not use on dry surfaces. Rinse pad with tap water before and after each use.

    Little suction

    By surromama2 on Sep 29, 2021

Use twice and the third time it wouldn't suck up the water. The two times it did work I felt it sucked up more water than it did the debris. You could just watch the debris swirl around the tube rather than follow the water out. Ended up getting a refund and will be looking for a different brand.

    aqueon vacumm

By Pitbull on Sep 6, 2021

This vacuum makes it so much easier than my old vacuum for my aquarium. I like the fact that it has the bulb to get the water started. My old one had to be submerged in order to start the water flow. It was too messy.

    Doesn't Work

    By H2Nope on May 16, 2021

I've been using Aqueon siphons for years. I got tired of manually siphoning and hoping not to get dirty tank water in my mouth so I bought this to benefit from the siphoning bulb. After submerging it completely under water and with the bucket a good 4ft below it on the ground (as well as attempting at various levels) all it does is push air into the tank. I then tried turning it completely sideways to let it fill up with water manually before, during and while priming... still no luck. I just watch it push either air or water back into the tank. I also tried bouncing it up and down to prime it like some of their other vacuums - nope. I'm guessing there are a series of flaps/trap doors through I've been using Aqueon siphons for years. It is sturdy and I like the thick tubing but none of that matters if I can't get it to work. Chewy was great at working with me to resolve this issue with a fast and friendly refund on the purchase. … more

Good for a water change, but not for debris removal

By Katherine on Apr 9, 2021

I was excited to have a siphon w/ a priming bulb and that part does work very well, but the bucket clip was a bit unhelpful (maybe if you have it towards the very end of the tubing or if the tubing is straightened out more? I tried trimming and still had issues). The siphon pulled up water nice and quickly but non of the food or poo was coming up... it got into the cylinder and then just sunk back down.

Excellent addition to my cleaning arsenal

By Christo on Feb 25, 2021

I had a previous version of the without the priming bulb, which worked fine, but often scared the fish, because you had to quickly plunge the collector tube into the water multiple times to get the suction to begin working...sometimes difficult to do. The Priming Bulb makes all the difference! With a couple of quick squeezes, the siphoning starts, and you can begin cleaning the gravel. Works great, even when the water level of the tank gets low.

Small Siphon for Quick Water Changes

By Shelly on Jan 19, 2021

Bought this small siphon for maneuverability after changing to sand substrate. I have used it probably 10 times and only experienced one time that it didn’t prime in the first 3 pumps. The suction is a little low for getting some of the heavier debris, but it does the job.

    Broken out of box

By Cameron on Mar 22, 2021

I used these before, so I know how they work. However, the one I received did not suck at all. There was an air leak.

This siphon is easy to handle and works well sucking up the junk from the bottom of the aquarium.
