Most customer's have reported that this litter box has deterred dogs from getting inside however, it will depend on how determined the dog is.

What are the dimensions of the actual litter pan (not including the staircase)?

Excluding the stairs, the box is shaped like a half moon and it is 12" wide by 21" long.

Is it leakproof where the bottom attaches to the top? I have an elderly cat that urinates standing straight up so it shoots over the top of every litter box I've tried and she's too old for top entry.

The plastic for the litter box is waterproof and the dome snaps into place to contain litter scatter.

I've used these before and they are GREAT. One of the things I like best is that the top easily and securely "snaps" onto the bottoms. These specific litter boxes appear to be "seconds" or "defects." The top DOES NOT easily nor securely snap to the bottom. That's probably why the price was so discounted, but if so, that should have been disclosed!

Love it, and the cats love it! I have some high litter kickers and it goes everywhere. The fact that they have to go up the ramp and sort of around the corner really reduces the litter they drag out with them and the dog can’t get to it which is a bonus. Combine this with a litter mat and you’re set.

Top wouldn’t fit on base.

The top wouldn’t fit on the base properly. Luckily I had a similar model I was replacing and used the lid from that one that fit ok. So, this was kind of a waste

Elegant Dome with Easy Entry Contains Litter Scatter

We (me and my newly adopted older kitty) are both thrilled with this new litter box. The little stairs really increase accessibility (great for mobility issues)

We (me and my newly adopted older kitty) are both thrilled with this new litter box. The little stairs really increase accessibility (great for mobility issues) and make it easy to enter/exit as well as keeping the litter IN the box. The stairs slow down her exit so that there is very little litter tracked out of the box. Cleaning the box is very easy. The box did come with a disposable liner but I decided not to use it. We are very pleased with the design, dare I say 'elegant'? The rounded organic dome shape appears much less like a 'litter box', and more like an igloo or a cat play structure. We ordered the Titanium color, which blends well with our decor, so nice! This was an excellent choice for our new kitty.

Perfect for small kitten

Our kitten was just 4-5 weeks old when we rescued her and way to small to easily get in/out of a normal litter box. I was using a small cardboard box at first but

Our kitten was just 4-5 weeks old when we rescued her and way to small to easily get in/out of a normal litter box. I was using a small cardboard box at first but as you can imagine, that got pretty nasty pretty quick. This litter box has the ramp to make it easy for cats of all sizes to get in/out. It offers privacy and odor control with the dome. I gave it 4 stars because the dome doesnt line up/fit perfectly together with the base but its good enough. I appreciate how easy it is to take apart/put back together to clean and i would recommend the product.

It was a little too big for our cat we have a small apartment should we refunded my money and asked me to donate it to somewhere else so that was very nice great

The design
