Bravecto is the only flea and tick treatment to last 12 weeks* with one convenient chew or topical dose. That means nearly 3X longer lasting protection than common monthly treatments. The long-lasting efficacy breaks the flea life cycle and drives fleas into extinction with one dose. And, Bravecto kills ticks faster, killing 100% of attached ticks in 12 hours – whereas other treatments can take over 48 hours.
Your cat doesn't need to go outside to be at risk for fleas and ticks. Cats can be exposed to fleas and ticks from dogs within the household. However, even cats without dog siblings can be at risk. You can carry fleas inside on your clothes and shoes – and the larvae and pupae can hide within your home for weeks before hopping on your cat. If you live in an apartment complex, fleas can move from one apartment to the next. And, certain ticks are now known to survive indoors throughout their lifecycles, so they can come in with you from outside, and hang around to attach to your pet.
After you give your pet Bravecto, it quickly reaches tissue fluids just under your dog's or cat's skin. When fleas and ticks feed, they ingest Bravecto and die. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats kills 100% of fleas within 8 hours. Apply Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats to the base of the skull for full-body protection for 12 weeks. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats kills fleas, prevents flea infestations, and kills ticks (black-legged tick) for 12 weeks. Bravecto Topical Solution for Cats also kills American dog ticks for 8 weeks.
There are no problems reported in field trials in dogs and cats that received Bravecto alongside other commonly used medicines. However, your veterinarian is your pet's health care expert, so it is always best to discuss all of your pet's treatments with them, whether prescription or over-the-counter supplements.

Honestly I would give this a zero but it works well so gotta give credit where it is due. I purchased Bravecto because my former flea med and those similar to it were apparently losing their effect on our yard's flea population. But honestly what a gunky, sticky, mess. It is quite thick and there is more of it in the vial than in Advantage, or Frontline, etc. It doesn't smell bad thankfully, because my cat has asthma. I have used this twice, but I am going to try my former flea med again and hope it will work again. I have to part my cat's fur in several places to get all of it to touch on skin somewhere. It does not soak in because is not watery like others, it is more like a mix of motor oil and honey.. ..I soaped and rinsed his neck a little later and combed through his fur and it is still in spikes! The last time was bad, but this time my cat actually looked at me like "what the heck, Mom!"
Made our cat's hair fall out in clumps where it was applied and left hair greasy for a week. We probably won't use this brand again, doesn't seem worth the side effects.
Very easy to apply and you only need to do it once every 3 months.
The meds were just what our cats needed and delivered quickly.
This product works very well keeping parasites from getting onto our kitties. We have used it many times and never had any complications, only good results. Always use the proper dosage for the size of your pet.
BEWARE and read the fine print. This class of medications can cause seizures and tremors in your cats. It lasts 3 months so there is no going back. I learned about this afterwards as Isoxazoline is not on the front of the package.
I love Bravecto ! I’ve tried everything and other things work well too but I really like that you don’t have to dose your cat so often. I only use Bravecto. It works and it’s easy.
My vet prescribed this and today I read a warning from the FDA that Bravecto products can cause neurological damage in animals. That's enough to stop me.
Love the way it controls fleas and especially love not having to administer as often to a difficult kitty.
Only 4 times per year is nice instead of the monthly application
