The Organic seeds are very resistant to mold due to their quick germination period however mold can be caused by either overwatering or too dark of a location. For the best results water only as needed and keep in a well lit area.

I have wilted a cactus before, so I was skeptical if I could actually grow this cat grass. It was surprisingly easy! The soil disc puffs right up with water. There are plenty of seeds, and I even saved half so when the first batch of grass wilts I could grow a second batch. The grass took longer to grow for me than the directions said (directions said 2 days, mine took about 5 to sprout). One slight downside is that the grass is pulled out easily, so if your kitty likes to tug on the grass rather than chew, you might have a little dirt and grass pieces around the mug. The mug is really cute. The first one I ordered was shattered when I opened it (no fault of chewys) and I got a free replacement ASAP, which was so nice! I definitely recommend this product, even for those without a green thumb!

Super cute planter! I like growing fresh grass and adding clippings to the cats food during the day. I followed the directions, the soil pod is fun to watch expand, but so far only one blade of grass has grown. Luckily, I also purchase the Pet Greens seed and have never had a problem getting those seeds to grow.

Don't buy anything from Chewy

Chewy sells items that they do not support. I purchased an automatic feeder that has stopped working. They do not respond to my request for help. Petlibro Granary

Petlibro Granary Automatic Cat Feeder with Camera, has firmware issue and will no longer feed. Error message shows up and no feed. DO NOT BUY ANY FEEDER ITEMS FROM CHEWY! They do not respond to this problem even though they know it's happening.

Good to try, but not for long-term use

So the grass in this kit is great. It sprang right up within a few days and was ready for my kitties before the end of the week. My issue is with the mug. While

So the grass in this kit is great. It sprang right up within a few days and was ready for my kitties before the end of the week. My issue is with the mug. While the GF thinks it's cute, it does not offer any sort of drainage, which all grass will need for long-term growth. Using the seeds in a regular draining pot should prove to be a better option if you want grass that lasts longer than a month before getting fungus/mold growth from residual moisture. I will use my own pot and give The Cat Ladies' seed bags a try instead.
