Are you able to vacuum the litter out of the mat?

While it may be possible to vacuum the mat, the manufacturer recommends to just fold it over and gently shake loose litter back into the litter box or to a garbage bin. Then bring it outside for an extra firm shake if necessary. Machine wash to disinfect and renew the mat.

Does the litter get all in washer when you wash it and get gummy?

The Medium mat measures approximately 24 x 20 x 1 inch and the X-Large mat measures approximately 36 x 28 x 1 inch.

Can it be put in the dryer?

This mat can be dried in the dryer. We recommend using the Air Fluff option as the heat may damage the rubber backing.

So I bought this to catch the litter because my cat likes to jump out the side of her box and litter spreads everywhere. Also, I have the box in a public area. Well, it absolutely does that job, no more litter all over the room. I have never had one of those cheap litter mats work this well. The only thing is it is REALLY soft, and the same cat loves to lay on it, right next to her litter box. I find her rolling on it and purring daily. Haha So I guess she approves it too.

This pad is pricey, but I love it so much that I'm going to order a second one. I really like the color and it's the same color as the litter I use. Between the color match and the deep mat pile, the litter pieces are invisible. It's soft on my cat's feet and mine. It looks like a throw rug instead of litter catcher. It has a sturdy rubber back that keeps it in place. It's easy to pick up and gently shake the litter back into the box. I haven't washed it yet, but I'll follow the instructions and I expect it to hold up well.

A DISASTER - it's going to thrift shop if it ever dries

Bought to use as litter catcher but once here, knew that was a non starter. Used as a mat next to the floor vent under a chair for a "sauna" for kitties. Very popular

Bought to use as litter catcher but once here, knew that was a non starter. Used as a mat next to the floor vent under a chair for a "sauna" for kitties. Very popular. A week in, one cat threw up a little kibble. I was unable to spot clean that given the pile. It says washable. Well, it cannot release water in the spin cycle. Spun it 3 times it still weighed 30 pound of drip. Hand wrung it - which I am going to rue when the pain sets in. Almost no effect. It's now maybe 25 pounds. Cannot put it in dryer. It's 10 degrees out, and it would freeze if the rug dryer pole was still assembled but it's not. So I now have it sitting in the washer dripping off, curtailing all washes meant to follow it today. DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU INTEND TO LIVE WITH HOW IT SMELLS WHEN SOILED. YOU ARE RISKING $800 WORTH OF APPLIANCES BECAUSE THIS MANUFACTURER IS GREEDY.

I've tried so many litter mats and they all end up making a mess and looking dirty. This one is brilliant because the thick carpet effect hides the litter brilliantly. Plus I can throw it in the washer. I actually bought a second one after my cat threw up on the first one. I want to be able to swap them out in cases like this. It's more expensive than a lot of other cat litter mats but I think it's totally worth it. So much less litter tracking!

The mats are soft and are definitely helping reduce the dust-tracking into my house. I had to get two, because one of my kitties didn't like the feel of it at first and would slink alongside it or jump over it (the other didn't have a problem with it). They both now walk on it without any apparent distress. I use the World's Best corn-based cat litter, so if you're wondering how the mat will do for you, that is the only litter it's been "tested" with at my house.

Really didn't help much.. My cats are over achievers...

I have 4 cats and use Tidy Feet litter in an attempt to keep litter in the bathroom where the box is. I have a litter box with very high sides but my cats dig deep

I have 4 cats and use Tidy Feet litter in an attempt to keep litter in the bathroom where the box is. I have a litter box with very high sides but my cats dig deep and actively scatter the litter. I hoped this large mat would help, and it does to some extent, but not enough to continue using it. Since it is large, i thought it would be practical, but find that it is too large and in the way, and actually hinders my efforts to keep the floor swept around the box.

Ive tried many of these over the years and this one is without a doubt the best. It's almost like deep shag carpet but with microfiber tufts. Catches and cleans almost ALL the litter and keeps it off the floor. Very well made and heavy duty, easy to pick up and shake out daily and machine washable once a week. Definitly will reorder this one if it ever wears out!!! A++++
