what kind of litter bags do I use?

How does one lock the lid to the bottom when we have a liner in place? We cannot get the sliding lock mechanisms to go through the holes and lock if we're using a liner.

I had the same problem. I have to try multiple times to get each lock to lock into place but I finally get it to work. Thankfully I can scope the box by opening the top hatch and only have to take the whole top off when it's time to clean the litter box.

Can entry door/flap be removed while leaving the cleaning flap intact?

Yes! My cat wouldn’t use the door, which can easily be removed while the hinged top flap with the filter remains intact and can still be flipped open for easy cleaning.

Does this work for high peeing cats or does the this allow the pee to get between the middle where the hood and bottom join?

The bottom pan itself measures approximately 9 inches, along the backside and gradually tapers down to 6 inches toward the front. The hood of the pan will fit securely over the bottom pan to keep messes inside.

I recently adopted two cats and wanted to transition them to a closed litter box. I've had many cats before, and none of them ever had an issue using them. This model is a great size, and I like the locking mechanism, but the flap is very poorly designed! The plastic door is just a tad too long, so that the door won't easily open out. My cats can go in no problem, but unless they really push hard with their head, they can't get back out easily, so they stopped using it :( I tried filing down the plastic, but I don't have the proper tools to make a big enough difference. Now the box is uselessly sitting in the corner of my living room. I'm not sure if I received a defective product, but please ensure you test it thoroughly before setting it up for use.

Poor quality

When the litter box arrived, it was packaged well. I assembled the litter box just to find out the plastic around the opening for swinging door was warped and misshapen

When the litter box arrived, it was packaged well. I assembled the litter box just to find out the plastic around the opening for swinging door was warped and misshapen which made it so my cat could get in but she couldn't get out. I ended up using a hair dryer to try to reshape the plastic so the door would swing properly. It helped enough to make it usable but its still not right. Be cautious when buying this litter box.

Excellent in Every Way-20 Plus Cats

I’ve tried a LOT of litter boxes in 5 decades with over 60 cats. This box is VERY nice. Size, Ease of Cleaning Via Fold Back Door & Lid, Ez carry Handle, Odor Control Pack which cats cannot reach & destroy like other filters. If you choose not to purchase the compartment is sealed, thus no wafting odors through empty filter compartment We’ve had no trouble with door function. If it were to stick I’d try spraying with pet safe silicone spray Door is useful for cats who stand and send urine streaming out the opening of covered litter box or high sided box. As of yet have had no issues with leakage. IF we do then a Made in USA pee pad placed underneath will easily solve that problem I use metal litter scoops as I find plastic too lightweight & worthless. I put several inches of litter in my boxes, then there is no scraping off the bottom. Maybe that’s why there’s no leakage so far at seams. Tilt the box, litter flows to one side revealing the clumps. Obviously I hold box from bottom so as not to break plastic that’s not designed for lifting heavily laden box.

This box is the best box I have used so far and the only reason I am giving it four stars is because of a slight design flaw. The box itself is well made and a lot of thought went into the process of it gets five stars!!! The entrance/exit is where the flaw is at because it traps the cat outside/inside the box. They either need the make the lid slightly higher to make up for the size of the door flap or make the door flap shorter. I have a temporary fix with something wedge in the slat/track on the top of the box (where the door rests) to keep the door up high enough. Other than that the box is amazing and I'll be keeping it and getting another in the future when I need to get a new one. Highly doubt I will need a new one because it's pretty heavy duty. Hope they fix the flaw though!

Apparently, the people at CatIt forgot that some owners like to use litterbox liners in their cat's potty box. So, you have to cut holes into the liner to be able to slide the very poorly designed locks. The locks themselves are very hard to slide, even without a liner. Was this the cheapest design for locks? Why couldn't they design something that actually worked? Do not move this box by the handle if it's full of litter with the lid on. You'll be very sorry. Maybe next time they should get an actual cat owner to help them with design.

Good design, poorly manufactured

I want to love this product. The size, odor control, and clever opening for scooping litter are all great. Unfortunately, there are two big issues. 1. The door does not swing freely. The plastic frame is warped which will not allow for the door to swing inwards or outwards without catching. My cats may be able to get in with a *strong* push but they definitely can’t get out. I jerry rigged my first one with packing tape which was fine. Ordered a second one with the hopes it was just a defective one-off but was disappointed to find out the second one had the same problem. I messaged customer support who immediately mailed out a replacement. Three boxes - all with the same defect. I’ve decided to just remove the doors and call it a day. 2. It’s hard to use liners with this box due to the locking mechanism. The brand sells special liners with holes to accommodate for the locks but they’re pretty awful liners. Not the worst issue to deal with but still annoying.

This isn't a litterbox, this is an escape room

Pros: large & roomy. the top can be locked/unlocked which is whatever, but is a fun step in putting the top and bottom pieces together. it comes with an air filter

Pros: large & roomy. the top can be locked/unlocked which is whatever, but is a fun step in putting the top and bottom pieces together. it comes with an air filter for some reason. it has a handle on top which is convenient if you need to move/carry it around. Cons: The entrance/exit hole is warped in a way that the door won't swing so i've made a wedge that holds the top connected to the door high enough that the door will swing. It's not ideal, but I didn't want to try to fool with removing the swing door (I tried haha) - I'm worried I will break the pieces that hold the swinging pegs. idk that it really even helps to cut down on litter tracking, but maybe it would if the door swung.

Amazing litter box.

This is a sturdy, large, and easy to clean litter box. The door folds up for cats that do not like a full covered box. The entrance is fairly low for elderly cats

This is a sturdy, large, and easy to clean litter box. The door folds up for cats that do not like a full covered box. The entrance is fairly low for elderly cats. Best of all it is leak proof. I have two large male cats that aim for the walls of the box and it does not leak out! So very happy with this box!

They send a broken one to me
