Is the fake grass toxic to cats who may try to eat it?

Answer by ChewyJul 10, 2019
The faux-grass on this toy is not edible.

This toy has so much potential! BUT after reading reviews, some of my fears were addressed. I worry about the cats eating the fake grass (like w/sisal). &Some cat WILL undoubtedly use it as a potty- I could adapt the "bed" style cardboard kind to hold toys - Anyone have any ideas on this?

Answer by ChewyJul 29, 2020
Please supervise your pet while they enjoy this toy to ensure they do not eat the grass. Your presence can also help reduce the chances of your cats using this toy as a potty. When they are not playing with it you could stow it elsewhere to avoid these hazards.

Where can I buy the smaller blue balls that come inside of this ????

Answer by ChewyAug 23, 2020
At this time, the manufacturer does not offer replacement balls for this toy.

Will the regular size balls with bells and then work in this box?

Answer by ChewyApr 21, 2019
Any ball size similar to the jingle balls provided can be used in this box.

We are new cat owners and trying out different games. Our cats were very interested in this toy as soon as we brought it out, and were batting at the balls through the holes. A couple of hours later they figured out how to pull up the fake grass portion. They promptly removed the balls and used the box as a chair/bed. They did this again any time we put it back together; I never again saw them playing with the jingle bells through the holes. I could have gotten them a much cheaper box to sit in!

Could Send Your Cat to ER

Plastic grass sheds from unwrapping to... forever. Plastic grass could be swallowed and cause trip to ER because it becomes obstruction in the gut or bowel. Chewy

Plastic grass sheds from unwrapping to... forever. Plastic grass could be swallowed and cause trip to ER because it becomes obstruction in the gut or bowel. Chewy should stop selling this toy. (Sad, because my new 7-week-old kitten loves it, but plastic grass bits were all over his mouth and paws and fur. Eventually, to end up in his very tiny stomach and gut.) Please feel free to communicate with me for further details of this not good at all toy.

interactive and stimulating

My cats loved this! They instantly enjoyed as soon as I put it on the floor. The green “grass” does fall off during play, not a big deal, just make sure to clean

My cats loved this! They instantly enjoyed as soon as I put it on the floor. The green “grass” does fall off during play, not a big deal, just make sure to clean it up so your pets don’t eat it. Great toy! I cut the sides a little bit more so the balls could roll out as well after they work for it. It gives animals a sense of accomplishment to “capture” what they hunt.

Great enrichment

My kitten loves this thing! However he figured out how to get the balls out pretty quickly so I have to push them back through the holes often. Also, the grass sheds

Great Entertainment But Didn't Last Long

My cat loved this but he made short work of it and tore it apart within a day or 2. He loves to chew cardboard.

Cat loves this but needs prompts.

The old out of sight, out of mind. My cat loves this, but if she can’t see the balls inside or unless someone shakes this, she loses interest.

Good bang for a few bucks.

They played with it constantly for 3 days then lost interest over the next day. I am going to put it away for a bit then bring it back out. Overall I am rather pleased

They played with it constantly for 3 days then lost interest over the next day. I am going to put it away for a bit then bring it back out. Overall I am rather pleased with the toy since my fuzzy ladies tend to lose interest in that manner but spent much more time playing with the toy each day. They be happy, I be happy.
