Give your favorite feline the pleasure of comfortable, stress-free dining with the Dr. Catsby's Whisker Relief Cat Bowl. Eating from a traditional high-sided bowl can result in Whisker Fatique–a paw-sitively painful condition caused when a cat is forced to pull back his whiskers for an extended period of time to keep them from contacting the bowl’s edges. This sleek, stylish bowl is made from food-grade, BPA-free stainless steel with a unique shallow shape that was developed by measuring a large sampling of cats’ whiskers and faces in order to determine its purr-fect proportions. It also features a side cut-out to make picking it up and setting it down on the included silicone, no-skid mat a spill-free breeze.

Whiskers are wonderful things. They can help cats detect changes in the air current, so they can navigate their way through narrow openings and dark spaces. But that also means we can be subject to an affliction known as “whisker fatigue.”
When their whiskers are forced into close contact with the sides of our bowls, it can get extremely painful. And that’s why cats don’t always finish their food. Not necessarily because it’s the wrong food – but because it’s the wrong bowl.
The signs of whisker fatigue:
Standing by the bowl before eating for a period of time, pacing around the bowl, or being hesitant to eat, though hungry.
My cat doesn’t have whisker fatigue. Can I still use Dr. Catsby’s bowl?
Dr. Catsby’s bowls are purrrfect for all cats.
The Dr. Catsby’s bowl is like riding a bike for the first time. At first you may begin on a shaky note, but the more you use it, the more streamlined it becomes. After a few tries, your cat’s meal time should become shipshape and tidy.
Dr. Catsby's bowl works best with premium dry food or soup-like wet foods. Some wet foods that are sticky or clumpy may be better suited for a large flat plate.
What makes this bowl unique?
Designed from a cat’s perspective, these wide but shallow dishes allow us to access our food without pulling back their whiskers. Its clean, simple design is a cinch to wash and will enhance the aesthetic of any home.
Bowl features:
What type of metal is the bowl made from?
Dr. Catsby’s Bowl is made from #304 food service grade stainless steel. This is the same grade of stainless steel as used in milk pasteurization, beer brewing, cookware, and eating utensils.
Stainless steel is one of the most common materials found in kitchens today. It's used in everything from appliances to cookware, dishware, flatware, and utensils because it is durable, easy to sanitize, and corrosion resistant to various acids found in meats, milk, fruits and vegetables. Most importantly though, stainless steel is a safe option when it comes to use with food and beverage, as there are no chemicals that can migrate into your food from these products.
Yes! We're proud to say that the grade of stainless steel used makes our bowl BPA free.
Dr. Catsby's bowl is recommended for use with dry food or wet food!
Some sticky wet foods may take some time for your pet to adjust to the shape.
While Dr. Catsby’s bowl is designed for food consumption, it works well for water too. The bowl holds 12 ounces (1.5 cups).
This bowl is purrrfectly designed for any cat that is lucky enough to get their paws on it.
I have a shihtzu who has been acting funny while eating out of her normal dish. I started to notice that she was hesitant to pick up pieces of her food, almost as though she didn’t like her whiskers hitting the sides of the dish. I know this dish is specifically designed for cats with whisker sensitivity, but it has been great for my dog. Since introducing this new dish, she seems much happier eating and less hesitant.
I bought this thinking it would help my cats feel more secure about drinking their water. Problem is twofold. It barely holds any water and my cats won’t drink out of it. Unfortunately it was expensive and not what I expected.
Our cat, Walter constantly sticks his paws into his food, throwing it on the floor, making a mess which is also unhealthy. He loves this dish no more messes, it is amazing.
My cat has had noticeable whisker growth since investing in this bowl, i honestly think it has helped her with her appitite too!!
I got these to replace their plastic bowls and they are great! Easy to clean and they even fit over our existing bowls so no need to figure out a raised situation. Love them.
Cat kept turning up its nose to food until we realized whisker sensitivity was a thing. This has been life changing. TY!
This is so easy to clean and my cat loves it. He used to take his food out of the several bowls that I tried. Not Dr. Catsby's!!
We are on our second set of these bowls. One cat refused to drink water out of the usual cat dishes, until I tried these. Easy to clean, and good quality. I use a paper towel instead of the rubber mat. Definitely worth the extra money.
Nice quality good design there is water marks left on the bowl just because its stainless steel in general good design price is good for quality and value
I did not realize that the rubber bottom is not attached to the bowl. I just didnt like the feel of it when picking it up to fill or wash. I thru it out.
