The Litter Cats Love

Dr. Elsey’s believes litter can be loved—by cats and their owners. They’re on a mission to help keep cats in loving homes by providing proven, veterinarian-formulated solutions.

They Speak for Cats

Dr. Elsey’s puts heart, soul, and science into every product to solve the complex needs of pets. Every problem calls for a solution, whether it’s bringing a fussy cat back to the box, keeping paws free of dust, or fueling pets’ ancestral dietary needs.

Bring Your Cat Back to the Box

A problem cat is one who chooses not to use the litter box. There are three likely causes: medical ailments, territorial marking, or behavioral issues. Cat Attract helps fight litter box aversion and bring cats back with a natural herb blend.

How long does the 20 lb box last for one kitten?

Answer by ChewyJun 25, 2019
With 1 cat using their own box with 3 pounds of litter that is cleaned regularly and changed every fortnight, a 20-pound bag of litter should last you between eight and ten weeks.

What is the difference between this and the other cat attractant litter? My cat is 3. I’ve tried the red box but had luck.

Answer by ChewyOct 01, 2019
Kitten Attract Training litter is made of premium scoopable litter with superior clumping ability and ground to an ideal granule size and texture for a kitten’s tender paws. Kitten Attract contains a kitten-specific natural herbal attractant that piques a kitten’s curiosity to use the litter box. The combination of herbs, texture and particle size provides a unique and effective solution for owners of kittens.

I scoop several times a day. How often should you change out all the litter?

Answer by ChewyDec 27, 2018
We recommend to fill clean, dry litter 3-4 inches of litter. This depth allows your cat to dig and cover their waste naturally. Scoop waste twice daily and refill box as necessary. Replace entire box once a month.

Can I use this for my Kitten after she is spayed?

Answer by ChewyOct 12, 2018
This can be used with spayed and neutered kittens.

She was only urinating in her box about 90% of the time. After having a full medical check and not finding anything, we tried cleaning too often, not enough, and everything in between. At 4 months, the doctor said she must have an anxiety disorder. I thought it was absurd because she is so young and is treated like a princess in our house. When I first opened the litter bag, she didn’t even wait for me to put her box back in place before she climbed in and used it. She hasn’t had an accident since! The best litter ever and everyone is happy.

best litter ever

Best litter ever.. its a little pricey but worth it. I bought several jugs of the Frisco litter because it was cheap and easier to handle because it was in a jug

Best litter ever.. its a little pricey but worth it. I bought several jugs of the Frisco litter because it was cheap and easier to handle because it was in a jug. I will never buy the Frisco litter again. I just wish Dr. Elsey would put the litter injugs or even the boxes like they used to have. Its hard using the 20 lb bags when you are an old lady. Still always been the best litter ever. I just bought more..havent used it yet...Im so hoping they havent changed the formula

So good my cats refuses any other litter

My cat has been using this litter since he was adopted at 4 months old. As he got older we tried to switch to a less pricey brand but he didn't care for the other

My cat has been using this litter since he was adopted at 4 months old. As he got older we tried to switch to a less pricey brand but he didn't care for the other brand. We tried the adult version of Dr. Elsey but my cat going on 2 1/2 years old prefers the kitten version. My other cat recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia prefers this kitten litter too. It is not granually like some brands and doesn't stick to paws.

When I opened the box kitty litter was on everything. I took a look at one of the bags of litter there was a small slit on the front body of the bag. I can’t truly rate this liter until we try it, but I have lost some liter I paid for. I’m disappointed.

Does its job!

This has worked for training two of my previously stray kittens to use the litter box when I brought them inside. One in particular had no clue how to use a litter box and this helped a lot. Maybe won’t be a “cure-all”. Positive reinforcement with treats when they use the litter box will also be your best bet to training a kitten. Lastly- the clay grains are very fine, likely to be easier on their kitten paw pad. So, tracking is a little bit of an issue but I’d say it’s worth it overall.

I like this litter for my kitty

My kitty likes this litter, but I think I'll have to continue buying it in store. I bought it through here for my first time for convenience, but right when my package arrived and I picked it up, there was litter coming out of the shipping box. Most of the litter came out. I'm really upset about that. Lesson learned.. not buying litter online anymore.

The only reason I was buying this is that, my new kittens are new and it had good reviews. And after ordering it for a month I realized I disagree with its advertisement, that states, it’s 99% dust free, and low tracking, and both are incorrect. I recently put up lil lights near the litter box, for me to know if they are there or not, and that’s when I saw the amount of dust it pours from the bag when I fill up. At 1st when I got my kitten, I had a bad allergic reaction, my eyes turned red and stayed like that for 2 weeks, and I had issue breathing. I went took my shot, got meds for allergies and I got better, but today when I poured a whole new bag, the same reaction happened that I expected at the beginning, when I 1st got it, my eyes are burning and my nose started to itch, and there were dust everywhere. I don’t know if this will help anyone or not, but it really the right information out there, and low tracking my kitten is literally wrapped in the dust when it’s done it’s business, so where is the low tracking??

Sooooooooo dusty

We just added a new kitten to our family, so I purchased Kitten Attract to help her learn to use our Litter-Robot. I was expecting this litter to be somewhat dusty

We just added a new kitten to our family, so I purchased Kitten Attract to help her learn to use our Litter-Robot. I was expecting this litter to be somewhat dusty due to the smaller granule size, but it was way worse than I imagined and triggered my asthma. Fortunately, our kitten has been adapting well and I don't think we need to continue use of this litter. Definitely will not be repurchasing.
