Assembly RequiredNo
- Unplug the fountain.
- Dump the water.
- Disassemble the fountain.
- The fountain is dishwasher safe except for the motor and cord. Either wash in the top rack of your dishwasher or hand-wash these parts. If your dishwasher runs too hot, we recommend hand-washing. When hand-washing, use a bottle brush, aquarium brush, soft sponge, or brushes included in the Fountain Cleaning Kit and dish soap. (Please note: if you have the Avalon or Pagoda fountains, the filter housing is hand wash only. It is not dishwasher safe.)
- Remove the motor from the fountain.
- Lift the impeller (looks like a small white propeller) out of the motor. There may be a faceplate cover over the impeller than can be pulled up with a coin or fingernail. Wash the impeller in soapy water, removing hair and other gunk that has collected around it.
- Pour soapy water inside the motor cavity and clean with a small round brush like the one found in the Fountain Cleaning Kit. A cotton swab or small toothbrush might work too, or anything that can reach all the way inside of the cavity.
- Rinse all parts well before returning to the fountain.
- Re-assemble fountain, replacing the filter and pre-filter as needed.
- Place the fountain where desired. Fill with water. Re-plug in fountain.
1-Year Warranty.

My Yorkies seem to be drinking more water . This is a great thing for them, I was forever filling their water dish, at least with this I am not doing it every hour.

Makes maintenance a breeze!
By Lynn on Mar 3, 2021
I'm VERY happy with this collection of brushes that make cleaning my fountain a breeze! I DO wish the manufacturers of the actual fountain would include the fact the pump comes apart for cleaning...I got THAT tip with the brush set.

Horrible Horrible Horrible
By Jesse on Dec 3, 2020
Just horrible. Bristles are very stiff, too stiff. The tips on the ends are hard and sharp metal. One brush did have some sort of plastic gunk ish whatever slopped on its tip but it was hardened in place half off the tip so it could still scratch. The others had no covers on the tips at all. Bristles shouldn't be sloppy but they should still have some bend, give to them. These are so poorly made I bet wholesale they don't even cost a nickle each. I'm giving them to my son to use out in his shop whenever he needs to ream out some pipes/play plumber or do his auto mechanic do. These are good for use on METAL. The cat water fountain I bought is mostly plastic and these brushes could really scratch Just horrible. Bristles are very stiff, too stiff. The tips on the ends are hard and sharp metal. The cat water fountain I bought is mostly plastic and these brushes could really scratch it up inside. Fine scratches making it tough to get really clean. I found much better for less at the grocery store in the dishwashing liquid/detergent Isle. But better could also be found in the baby bottle section. … more

By Yani on Jan 11, 2021
I recently got a cat from a previous owner and they never even told me I needed to clean his filter with these materials:/ I didn’t know until his fountain stopped working in the middle of the night. This is great for all of the hard to reach places

These look like a great way to keep the fountain clean and running. And service was excellent...friendly, courteous, and very helpful.

Large and not in charge of cleaning needs for my pet fountain.
By ImFine on Jan 24, 2021
What are these, toys for the kids to play with? Not good! Why are the so clownishly sized? Unhelpful! How were these even product tested?

NOT GOOD SIZES
By MarleneH on Sep 29, 2020
The middle sized brush is the only one that, I feel is helpful. It is similar to the Lysol drinking-straw brushes that are no longer available. The large brush is awkward to use, more appropriate for a bottle. The small brush lacks bristles to the end of the wire center so, doesn't get into the small, tight spaces very well. I have always in the past, cleaned with soapy paper towels, a Lysol drinking-straw brush and pipe cleaners.....these did a far better job.
