How can I purchase replacement filters and sponges

Answer by eoxbrandAug 08, 2025
Pls search: 2292334. The "EOX Cat Water Fountain Replacement Filters, 12 count" are compatible with this fountain.

How much copper gets absorbed in cats, since they cannot excrete copper and it will accumulate to toxic ranges and can cause liver failure etc.

Answer by ChrisDec 06, 2025
The amount of leaching with water would be very minimal, it would be more of a concern with acidic liquids. Since the water storage isn't copper it's even less of a concern. Also, even though toxicity with cats is a concern, it's still an essential mineral they need and their food still contains it. I have bachelor degrees in bio, chem, and nursing so I'm not the absolute expert but do have some smarts :) I wouldn't hesitate giving this to my cat(I current only am a pomeranian owner but have had 3 cats in my life). Hope this helps ease your concern.

Is the fountain food-safe?

Silent & Effective

Our cats BEELINED for this fountain as soon as we plugged it in. It’s sleek, sturdy, and quieter than our fridge. Even our shy girl loves the free-flowing stream

Cats won’t touch it

Neither of my cats will drink from this. The whole “your cats instinct is to drink running water” is marketing. It’s as true as you preferring to drink from a water

Neither of my cats will drink from this. The whole “your cats instinct is to drink running water” is marketing. It’s as true as you preferring to drink from a water fountain than a cup. Moreover, the water gets frothy and gross within a couple days. The filters don’t seem to help and there was a nasty rim that I needed to scrub after a couple of weeks (despite regular washing and changing of filters)

My cats love it

Love the ceramic fountain and so do my cats. It is staying cleaner than the stainless steel one and definitely the plastic one that I previously had. Only had it

Simple design

We had a Cat It plastic fountain for a while that got really gross all the time and had a lot of places you couldn't clean. We decided to change to a ceramic fountain. This is really simple, double-filtered, and easy to clean. There aren't a lot of tiny areas to clean off like the other fountain. It is also very quiet. We really like it. Just a heads up though the ceramic makes the base a little heavy so be careful when you wash it that you don't drop it.

Still an unknown

You know how cats can be. So far neither cat will drink from it, but they do seem intrigued by it. We've bought beds that they wouldn't go near for over 6 months,

Nice watering fountain

Interesting item. I've had pet fountains before but purchased this one for a more sanitary experience. The previous plastic fountains are OK but this ceramic fountain

Interesting item. I've had pet fountains before but purchased this one for a more sanitary experience. The previous plastic fountains are OK but this ceramic fountain is easier to clean and quieter when one of the cats licks the bowl (he's special...). I think some previous negative reviews are from mechanically impaired as this pump is incredibly easy to disassemble, clean, and reassemble. If it takes more than five minutes to completely clean this thing, you may want to reconsider your level of responsibility to own a pet. The pump is quit and the unit is relatively attractive. My only observation is, the top bowl (plate) is very shallow. Every cat I've owned likes to drink rain water off the deck or the overfill in a potted plant. However, they took about a week to adjust to the 1/4-inch of water depth in this unit. It's really OK, but I might have gone a litte deeper with a bowl. Overall, the cats and I are pleased.

Creates dirty water at a rapid rate

I like that this is porcelain and easy to clean. HOWEVER, the upright dispenser pipe (the whole reason I bought this fountain) immediately turned the water blue

I like that this is porcelain and easy to clean. HOWEVER, the upright dispenser pipe (the whole reason I bought this fountain) immediately turned the water blue from copper leaching and had to be thrown away. Now, even without it, the water ends up brown in less than a week, every week; I don't know if it's from the filters or motor or what. I dump the whole thing, scrub it and the motor thoroughly, and change the (pre-rinsed) filters every 7 days, but it happens every time. Ugh.

This is a great water fountain with a steady stream of water. Plus the white exterior not only looks beautiful and sleek, but is extremely easy to clean. This is by far the quietest fountain we've had and the cats seem to prefer it over our others! Maybe it's because of the double filtration? The filter is easy to replace as well.

Cats weren’t impressed

I really liked this ceramic fountain especially because I thought it might be easier to keep clean. I also thought the copper spout would entice the cats to drink. Unfortunately, my two guys would have nothing to do with the new fountain, so I had to go back and get them a newer version of their old style fountain. They’re much happier now and drinking water like crazy, and that’s what counts.
