The cord on the HPF-100 is approximately 1 foot long and has a convenient clip to attach the cord into when not in use. This can be used with any heavy-duty 14 gauge extension cord, 45 feet or less.

I purchased Fella and his lady friends in April. Never say a chicken is stupid. They know more than we know. Great layers and my yard shows that they love dust

I purchased Fella and his lady friends in April. Never say a chicken is stupid. They know more than we know. Great layers and my yard shows that they love dust baths. I had to say goodbye to my 3 conures on Thanksgivig. Mysteriously they died about 45 minutes apart, leaving me with my 37 year old cockatiel, Paddy.

Once you fill the chicken waterer if you carry it by the handle you will lose a good deal of the water you just filled it with. I do not like it. I gave it to my daughter and I replaced it with something that you can actually seal once you have filled it. Also, if the chicken waterer is not 100% level, it will continue to fill and drain water all over the coop. In my opinion, not a great product.

It’s not made with good quality material

It’s so hard to use , I have read so many reviews before I purchase them i placed an order , I have tried to use however it’s 3 gallon and it should be good for

It’s so hard to use , I have read so many reviews before I purchase them i placed an order , I have tried to use however it’s 3 gallon and it should be good for 3-4 days for 5 chicken however it’s not holding it i almost refill everyday , something is not right but I don’t know what is wrong, it does not let the water to be frozen but it does not hold water too

This is incredibly convenient for multiple chickens throughout the winter

It works great. It's not too heavy when full; anything larger might be challenging. My only complaint is that the spot where it connects from the electrical cord

My only complaint is that the spot where it connects from the electrical cord to the bottom of the waterer, separated a bit. I used black electrical tape to reseal it, but since it gets wet when cleaning or filling, it doesn't stay on. A stronger connection is required.

Disappointed

Definitely keeps the water from freezing but it leaks from the bottom of one of the screw holes. Highly disappointed, will not buy again.

This waterer is great. Obviously doesn’t need to be in freezing wind which it can’t keep up with. No heated feeder can handle that. But it’s a great size and easy

Holds plenty of water

Great waterer, but keep it inside -- the chooks fill this up with mud and grass fast when it's outside, and it's too heavy when full to hang in my particular coop

Great waterer, but keep it inside -- the chooks fill this up with mud and grass fast when it's outside, and it's too heavy when full to hang in my particular coop (A sturdier one would do great). I appreciate the little hooks to keep the cord out of the way in the warmer months. I don't find it to be too flimsy, even if I'd prefer a thicker handle. Quite heavy when full, so maybe skip it if you have kiddos doing the chicken chores -- though it stays full for quite a while in my flock, so I could always fill it partially.
