4 Customer Questions
Can I use this product on my 40gal?
Answer by • May 12, 2022
This heat emitter is suitable for 40 gallon tanks.
how hot does this get 15" away from a basking spot?
Answer by • Jan 24, 2022
Using a Fluker 8.5” Clamp Lamp with reflector for the 60 watt Ceramic Heater, the temperature 15” away is 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The ambient temperature in the room was 72 degrees Fahrenheit. There are a few variables that can affect the basking site temperature of ceramic heaters and incandescent bulbs. The ambient temperature of the room, the type of lamp used, the size and type of the enclosure, and what type of top the customer is using. Just keep that in mind. But our temperature above is a good general reading the customer can use. It is always important to use a thermometer to measure the temperature before placing the pet inside the enclosure. For the ceramic heaters, it is a good rule to wait 15-20 minutes after turning on to measure the temperature.
Can this be used in a classic domed lamp, hung from an adjustable lamp stand?
Answer by • Nov 17, 2021
We recommend the clamp lamp with switch and not the classic domed lamp.
