This quaint, cat-sized accommodation from Frisco by Chewy is perfect for the rural-inclined furball looking to get away from it all and spend some relaxing time in their farmhouse. The cardboard construction is precisely the kind of material cats are notoriously crazy for because it’s the most satisfying surface for their claws to slice into. The roomy interior and faithful details of the farmhouse-style exterior should entice even city slicker kitties to indulge in some pastoral playtime. Plus, this farmhouse is easily assembled in just a few minutes so they’ll be kicking back and taking in the scenery before you know it.

My cats adore this little house. I did have to reinforce the roof (I just used the box it came in.) to deal with my big cats, but the rest of the house has held up just fine with my 15 pound kitty. Both of my cats love it and sometimes fight over who gets to hang out on the porch. Terra has taken to stashing her favorite toys inside. 100% will buy again when this one is destroyed. And maybe I’ll get another one to stash somewhere else in the house. Easy to assemble and easy to reinforce the weak points if your cat is a little hefty, but the second floor is holding up just fine with nearly 30 pounds of cat struggling to claim the high ground.
As adorable as this is, the 2nd story has absolutely no support when a cat jumps up onto the roof. Was able to modify by cutting off the attached section where they can now lay/walk on the flat roof. Even though it would have been nice to have the 2nd story, the price still isn't too bad since the scratch pads that come with it, are nice and thick, nothing skimpy with those. Putting it together was easy, but you can really tell how thin this cardboard is compared to other houses I had gotten. Maybe the 2nd floor will hold up with kittens, but definitely not adult cats (mainly male since they are bigger/heavier then females). I do recommend this one IF you are ok giving up the top floor if it collapses, other wise suggest you go for the more expensive ones. I am sure if the company made this without the top floor, that it would sell just as easy, otherwise would be nice to find a way to make the top floor sturdier. As for the roof portion, it's nice that it has a flat surface, but only IF it can handle the weight of the cat, otherwise best to have made it into a pointed roof, but even then, if they put their weight onto the roof (pressure), it would also crash after seeing how it bent when my boy first was checking it out before jumping up onto it.
One of our cats love cardboard boxes. I thought that this would really be used. She does like the scratch flooring. It took an hour to put together. The directions are not helpful at all. I had to try to make sense of how it was put together. They could have told about folding over the tabs and not just a photo. Still wondering if she will use it. I have other cats and my daughter has a cat, so might go to another cat. Cute idea and maybe I should have bought a one story instead of the two story. I have two cats and thought they would share it. I was wrong.
Well for starters this is perfect house for ur kitty's. I've been hesitating to buy it thinking they wouldn't use it since a lot of houses I've bought over the years they never used them. Well I caved in and bought it, it's a little thin which the cardboard should be thicker so when moving it, it's not so flimsy, but other than that my cats love it especially if u add catnip to it, it's a perfect size u can stick anywhere, she plays constantly on it she tries to sit ontop but it's very flimsy and it bulges in won't shows in photo I will try another house like this one once she out uses it
What a fun item! Our cats absolutely love it, play hide and seek in it, sleep in it and climb all over it. Sturdy cardboard, and when we put it together we just added some clear packing tape to the tabs on the inside, and it holds up just fine. Everyone just needs to remember it is cardboard, and the cats love to chew on cardboard. There are a lot of ticker tape marks all over the roof but so far it has stood the test of time and two energetic cats. Can't wait to order Halloween and Christmas boxes!
I bought this because my cats are obsessed with cardboard scratchers and in that stage where they need two levels because they’re constantly playing. This cat house is PERFECT in both respects. It was super easy to assemble and is very cute. Both of my cats are able to fit easily on both levels (and quickly discovered that the roof was another place to sit on). For the price, it really was a great buy and my pair have had hours of fun on it. Be aware that it is big, perhaps bigger than you think but for me, that’s a bonus because I’m hoping as they grow larger they’ll be able to continue using it.
Tom enjoys sleeping and having fun in this. He is a big cat, long, tall and 22 pounds. So this was perfect when I read the size description. Other reviews said it does not stay together and understand that if your cats go crazy on it. So, with my cat being so big, I duct taped all the tabs down on the inside and it is very sturdy. Tried to add photos, kept saying "photo to large"
I would have loved to have given a better rating, but not only is the overall structure not the sturdiest, but as soon as one of mycats stepped up onto the roof, it crashed, so now the 2 Story House is a Single Story Barn. Once I figured out how to put it together, it went easy/made more sense, just a bummer that after the success of finally getting it all together, that half of the work was for nothing. Normally I would have returned this, but for that price, I guess single story will do.
I have ordered the spaceship and castle and the farmhouse is by FAR the best <3 my cat LOVES the multi levels and "catio" space. This one went together easiest and seems the most sturdy! Love how the tabs go in easier than the others and fold over! Our cat is LARGE and even the spaceship (with only 2 supports) lasted 4 months. This one has 3 supports and seems MUCH sturdier. I love these cardboard houses and it keeps my outdoor turned indoor kitty from tearing up the house with the scratchpads. Love iiiiiit.
This house was easy to put together. The second story seems sturdy, though I haven't seen any of my chonks on that story yet. I have a couple big kids and the bottom level us big enough that they can stretch out. Over all we all like it very much.
